One day, a mysterious data library known as "XTAL TOWER" surfaced on the Internet. Collected within this library were every nation of the world's most important national security secrets. The hackers who accomplished this feat threatened to release these secrets to the public in a matter of days. The world was stunned that these supposedly impossible to access secrets were acquired by these brilliant hackers. The military and economic balances of the entire world could be destroyed... Hours later, each of the world's countries received an invitation from a being known only as "XTAL". The invitation stated that before the XTAL TOWER library was made public, each nation would be given a chance to fight against the library's security units, as well as each other. "If any challenger can defeat every other unit within the alotted time, and find their way to the location of the host, then they can stop the secrets from being released and destroy the XTAL TOWER..." Save at any time before turning off the game - it will load automatically next time you play (w/memory card, of course). Requires 1 memory block. KEY SETTINGS: Allows you to configure the button settings. REPLAY: DATA SELECT: Choose the match you want to replay. You can automatically play all the matches in order, starting with the one you selected. MARK REVERSE: Changes the choose option to a delete option. Now, whatever data you choose will be deleted, rather than selected. CAMERA: Changes the camera angles on the replays. Choose between NORMAL (Normal perspective), AUTO (Randomly changes viewpoints), PLAYER (First person view, right behind player's shoulder), and FREE (Control the views with the controller). REPLAY SAVE: Saves data to your memory card. DATA COPY: Copy data from one memory card to another. DATA DELETE: Delete a file. DATA LOCK: Makes the file undeletable. The popular "cheat" method of doing this is to set the game difficulty to "EASY" and the timer to "30". Then, hit your opponent once and just avois him thereafter until the timer runs out, giving you the victory. Remember to save once you get him! -To play as XTAL, finish the game as ZULU without continuing (not sure if the difficulty level is important - Anyone who can help will be given the appropriate credit). -To play as NECO, finish the game as XTAL without continuing (not sure if the difficulty level is important - Again, anyone who can help will be given the appropriate credit). -To get multiple colors (16) for each character, beat the game once. Then, at the character select screen, hold "SELECT" in combination with the D-Pad and any of the 8 buttons to choose between the various colors. -To play the hidden game-within-a-game, "Tiny Phalanx", simply hold down "SELECT" and "START" on Controller 2 while the game is loading up. After the Zoom logo comes on, you'll see the words "BONUS GAME". You can even save your high scores to the memory card.
