Introduction: Hello everybody! This is me, Sunshine with a brand new faq, to the Nes-game Shadows of the Ninja (In some cases called Blue Shadow.) Exscuse me for all grammar/spelling errors here. I know there are some, but I hope it is not disturbing for U(I mean, I hope you can use the faq anyway.) So why did I do a faq to this old Nes-game? Well, there are a few things: First of all, I’ve never seen a faq to Blue Shadow(Shadows of the Ninja) so I thought I do one, and it was a while since I did one(about 2-3 months) so I thought it was time to do one more now, and this game really deserves a faq coz the game is really great. I love the music! I think it is the best nes game ever. Beats everything. (Check out my review at the same site, www.gamefaqs.com. You guys too lazy to read it can I say I gave it 10/10.) . Check out my other faqs to Nes-games if you want. They are all at www.gamefaqs.com to Swordmaster, Mrgimmick, and Little Nemo: The Dreammaster. There are only one to each game (I think, if nobody send one in except me). If you have any comments, questions, anything, just send it to my cool adress: ¤#% lufia3@hotmail.com or you can send it to: wazzup73@hotmail.com or in emergency to per_granbom@hotmail.com (But then I maybe won’t check your letter out for a while cuz that one is not used too often. I suggest you send to lufia3@hotmail.com. ) ¤#% This mark ¤#% means here around is something intresting or important. So if you see it, check it out. This mark is for guys that ain’t got the time checking all the faq. Ok, enough with this, Enjoy the faq! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A: History ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Year is 2026(Future) A maniac rules Americas largest city. When he’s sitting in his chair, relaxed and thinking evil thoughts about how he will punch the people who have rebelled, a computer starts to beep. He looks at the screen, thoughtfully about what it can be. Then slowly the text comes up and his face starts to get white, sweat’s treaming down from his forehead, and the hair raises in the neck. The intruders are ninjas, and they are here to take his life. He starts desperately to organize troops out to find them, destroy them, and then he equips himself with a long dagger, waiting for them to arrive. He knows they will find him, he can’t escape, they are ninjas, trained in the shadow skill and they will come. So, more history I don’t think you need, I guess you get the point. You are ninjas, send out to kill the emperor. I suggest you check the intro by not pressing anything when the main text ”Blue Shadow” appears. Listen to the great music and ”feel” into the game. Intro text says: United states of America year 2029 A.D. Due to the dictatorial goverment of Emperor Garuda a number of lives has been lost. In order to defeat the Emperor Garuda two shadows appear. ”Ninja” they are called. ###################################################################### B: Control ###################################################################### The control in this game is very good, if I may say it myself. (I love it! Best control all games ever, all consoles!) This is how you learn the art of Ninjas while sitting in your room looking at the tv: Beat/Swing your dagger: Press B-button to use your dagger. Useful against bad guys. Jump: Press A-button to jump. Could it be good to get higher up? Run: Hold the Movement-button(Big black button at left) down at a direction. Character will move directly. ¤#% Special Magic Attack: An attack not so useful, but cool. Hold A-and B-button down a long time. Then your energy-meter will start to shine, and after a while, the Hero will take up his sword and do a lighting attack, killing all enemies at the screen. Be sure to have a lot of energy in the tank, cuz it costs half your energy!!! If you don’t have quite much energy, the attack will not work. It’s so expensive to use(costs more energy than it is worth) and that’s why I never use it. (Mostly, you won’t need it, but maybe at some bosses it would be easier.) Check it out some time. Climb: Press Up-button on the Movement-pad and the Character will start climbing up if you’re on the ladder. To come up at the ladder, press Up while being close to the ladder. How to use special items(like Shurikens): Ninjas often have special secret-weopons with them. Shuriken (for those not too familiar with the assasination-art) is a weopon that you throw at your enemy. It looks like a star with sharp edges that will go into your skin and hurt you fatal. ( Cruel but effective). You use it by picking up a power-up item at the screen and throw them with the B-button. The Shurikens are in three stages. All the stages of the stars are how many daggers you’ve picked up before. If you picked up no sword (first level) stars will go slowly forward, hitting enemies. If you picked up one more sword(Level 2) the Shurikens suddenly changed to be much faster and more powerful. If you pick up two swords(level 3) you will have shurikens that will go directly to the enemy, without problems. The are like seekers. So if you want the seekers, pick up two or more swords first, then take the shurikens. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ C: Enemies and bad guys ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Yeah, there are a few bad guys in this game also. (Bosses are not included in this section, check the Bozz-section for that.) This is the description of the enemies and fellas in this game. There are also some advices how to kick them, and a list how hard they are. All names to the enemies is what I call them, based on how they look. Alright, le’s start: Wicked sea-man: Green pants and some kinda blue hat on the head. There are many of them at the first stages at the sea-area. These guys are really wimps. One swing with the sword and they are history. No advices needed, just feel free to play with ‘em as ya want. Running fools: Big brown guys running around trying to push you out for a gap. (They never succeded at me). Takes a some swings to get them out of the way, but after 4-7 times they won’t disburbing ya for a while. They never tries to hurt ya, just pushing you out. Jump up on a box and then start swinging, or just leave them for the rest of the game. They are easy, never hurts you, just bothering ya for a while. Tangle-people: People with long-ranged weopons trying to hit ya. They looks like women with blue clothes. Just run away from them or wait for the right time to go and kick their ass. Look out for the snatch! They are a bit harder than the other ones, but no problemo for players like us. No advice needed. Propeller creepers: Enemies with white/blue colour. They flies towards you first, then if you hit ‘em they’ll land to get you. But they are easy. Just 2-3 swings and they’ll be dead. (When you meet these enemies, you often have the shurikens, making it even more easy.) No advices needed. Missile launchers: A trap set out by the evil guy. Machines that launches missiles at you. The coulor is white. You’ll meet them at the first stage, when climbing up to the roof. You can’t kill these ones, so just avoid the missiles. No advices needed really, but make sure to evade the missiles or you’ll be hurt. Commanders: Brown soldiers that are big. They try hit you, and they’ll slide against you. These guys are also very easy(and some of ‘em might even drop an energy-bottle). Just duck when standing close to them, and start hitting. After a while they’ll slide against you. Jump over them and repeat sitting low and strike. Easy guys. Toxic Gas: A trap at level 1.(No trap really, but a bit annoying) Gas will come out and hit you if you don’t make sure to avoid it. Can’t be killed either. Just avoid ‘em and go thru. Green/White coulor. Droids: Small machines moving at the ground. Very common at stage 1. Just two hits and they’ll be dead. They’re no problem, but they can hit you often, cuz they strike from low. White coulor. No advice needed. Monkey: A mad red monkey hopping around. He’s like a parasite, but 1 hit and he’s gone. No advice needed. Droid guards: Orange/red coulor. They stand with a shield guarding themself, and suddenly they pick up a gun and starts shooting. Just hit ‘em 4 times and they’ll be dead. No advices neeeded. Ninjas with rears: Ninjas coming swimming under water. Just exists at level 1-2 and is quite easy. Blue coulor under water, and changes to red when they come up. They throw shurikens, so be careful. Run away from them is my advice. But you can stay to kill them. Anyway, they are no real problem. Snake machine: A machine looking like a snake. Only exists at level 1-2. Comes up from a rear and shoots bullets. Give him some medecine( strikes with your weopon) and he won’t disturb you anymore. This guy might be a little more problem, but should be nothing dangerous. Here. you should have the shurikens, if you didn’t throw all away. Just hit him and he’ll die soon. Boomerang fellas: Green pants with no t’shirt. They throw boomerangs at you. Those boomerangs could be irritating, so kill the guys fast so you get rid of ‘em. There’s no tactic, just beat as fast as you can. Droids with two bodies: Robots that can spit up in two; one with the legs running crazy and the body floating up in the air. White coulor. They are also easy, just kill the legs and continue your journey. Never mind the body, more problem killing him that’s worth. Maniacs: Running guys with brown coulor. They are just running around slowly forward. Two hits and they are dead. No advice needed. Soldiers: Soldiers running around with a gun. They are white with blue pants and black head. They shoots bullets up in the air, that falls down. Just a few strikes and he’s dead. Easy one. Just exists at Level 4. No advice needed. Shooting machines: Big machines shooting with two rears. Hit the blinking point at ‘em. and they’ll break down. No advice needed. Boxers: Guys volting around and starts knocking you down. Blue pants and white jacket. Looks like the Soldiers, but these guys use their fists instead of a gun. Run away from ‘em. They are not so easy to hit, so don’t bother doing that. No advice needed. They just exists at level 4. Rolling wheels: Wheels rolling around a metal-plate. Can’t be killed, so get outta there. They are no threat. Yellow coulor. Spinning ninja: A ninja spinning around. Just hit him a few times and he’ll be dead. No advice needed. Giant robots: Yellow coulor and they are big. Takes a lot of hits to destroy them, but you’ll get an energy-bottle. No need in killing them. No advices needed. Jumping robots: Robots jumping around spitting bullets. Yellow coulor. They just exists at level 5. They are quite hard, so run away from ‘em. Bomb: A trap. A bomb that will explode if you go near. Purple coulor. Go near it, and then walk away from it fast. It will blow up and disappear. Only exists at level 5. Lazers: A trap. A huge lazerbeam will go toward you. Be aware, it kills a lot! Avoid it as much you can. Only exists at stage 5. White coulor. Spear throwers: Throws spears after ya. Purple coulor. Can be killed, but often is too far away to reach. Forget ‘em and go for the master himself. You’re near now. They only exists at level 5. Sword-fighters: Guys fighting desperately with their swords. They sit down with their shield as protection. Purple coulor. Kick them when they open up. Not hard. No advice needed. Rolling ball: A ball rolling at the last level in the game. Is hard to kill, but not dangerous at all. Let it be and head for the master a few steps more up. [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[ D: Items and cool stuff ]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]] Weopons: You can pick up a few different weopons in this game. The first weopon you can get is the sword. If you pick up swords and you already use the sword, the range will be longer. If you have two swords ( You have one and pick up another one) you will get the short range. There will be a little flash when swinging the sword. Then you can strike at longer space. If you pick up one more sword(picked two swords without changing sword) you will get the full range. Now, the sword will have long range and that could be very useful to have. You can’t have more range than this. Myself, I think two daggers more than the beginning (most long range) is the best weopon in the game. So start collecting daggers when you see them. Another weopon is the morning star. It’s a weopon that has long range (but not so long as maximum sword got) and is quite strong. You can beat at up, down and diagonal as you can’t with the sword. The problem is that it’s a slow weopon, and this one you can’t load up. So I prefer the swords. And this weopon simetimes don’t even hit when striking! With other words, don’t trust this weopon. The sword is much better. Shurikens: The small throwing stars that is quite good to have, but they really don’t make no difference. You can’t have these one forever, cuz u just have a few of them. But they are never needed that much (I don’t like the seekers, then ya can’t aim for yourself.) Recover energy: There are some bottles you can pick up that recovers your energy. Some of the bottles recovers half of the energy, some more. The ones recovering more are the blinking ones. Bottles can you get from boxes you find at the way, or by some killing enemies. Pergaments: The pergaments can you find in only one box(last stage). The outcome is full-powered sword. You can get the l. The pergaments are rare(just one in the whole game), so look for them if you see ‘em. /////// E: Stages and some information \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ There are 5 stages overall at the game, each with more levels(about 3-4). Sounds more than it is. The game is really easy, but a few small problems can occur. (Like last boss, Garuda.) But don’t worry, all stuff ya need is in this faq, and if it isn’t, feel free to mail me. (But I guess you won’t get no problems, the game is easy.) Here’s a short overall look description on the stages: Stage 1: The Harbor Stage one is located at the Harbor. This is a nice area. I love the feeling running in the rain here near the sea, while hearing the music. This stage is easy overall. There are quite many enemies, but all are wimps. There are 4 levels here and a boss at the last, some kind of mechanical bird throwing electrical stuff out. But the stage is easy. Stage 2: The sewers You’re running thru the sewers(I think) and ninjas will jump up. I love this sequence too because the music is great. Here, you’ll meet many enemies also, but they are all quite easy. At the end of all the levels, you’ll meet the panzar-boss. He’s very easy, but if you get any kinda problems, check ”Bozz-section.”Overall, this stage is easy. There are just 2 stages here, and the last is the boss. Stage 3: The City Love this stage too. I like the background here. You’re jumping over gaps with New York City in the background. Feel free at this stage, and feel the force. Be sure to load power(concentrate) before you try to jump over a gap, cuz if you fall down, you’ll lose much energy. There are quite many enemies here, but they should be no problem. Look out for the Samurai-boss at the end of stage, he’s a little bit harder than the other ones. Overall, the stage are a little bit harder than the other 2 before. Stage 4: The factory Here, you are in a factory looking for next boss.First of this level, is where all soldiers with white clothes are running around. That level may not be so hard, but after, it will get harder. Next level have some surprises maybe. Watch out for this level, coz this one is the hardest in the game (what I think). There are not so many enemies maybe, but they have a few weopons and other stuff making it harder. (I hate the orange ninjas!). Watch out so you don’t fall into the gaps, and be careful with the boss, Falcon Man. He can be dangerous. At this stage, there are many jump from platform to next platform.Overall, this stage are hardest in the game. Stage 5: Garuda’s place Last stage finally!! Now, I’m gonna get the sucker!!!!! Yeah, but you gotta get over a few traps first. And I mean not a few, but many. These stages are full of bombs, lazers, enemies, yeah you gotta go thru everything(sounds more than it is). Be sure to have the long-ranged sword here, and be patient when you continue, cuz traps and lazers are outspread. But overall, no very hard problems will be in your way for the master himself(then the problems start!) Player information: You have 16 in energy-force, like the bosses. But some of them you gotta hit more times before the energy goes down. ******************************************************************************* F: Bozz strategies ******************************************************************************* First boss: Stage 1-4 Called: Machine-bird Description: A machine with brown coulor and a jet-speeder at the back. He shoots stars at you. Advices: Avoid his stars and wait for him to come down to the ground. When it’s down, start pulverize him with your sword as much as you can when he open up his eyes. When he flies up, avoid him and start running around. Hopefully, he won’t hit you. When he’s down, give him another one. After a while, he must be dead. The machine is easy to kill. You must fail a lot if losing to this guy. (You can use the lighting bolt attack if you want, but then he just dies 1/2.) Hardness: 3/10 Second boss: Stage 2-3 Called: The panzar Description: A huge panzar with yellow coulor and weopons around. Advices: Start striking the gun at the bottom of the machine. When done, you have a nice shelter for the coming rain of fire. Jump up to the eye and hit it once (you can’t hit it more, cuz the eye will turn to a gun). When the rain comes, run under where the gun was, and wait for the fire to disappear. Then repeat the same until it dies. Also an easy boss. Hardness: 2/10 Third boss: Stage 3-1 Called: The dead samurai Description: A big samurai build with bits of junk. Holds a long dagger. Advices: If having a long range weopon(like the sword or the morning star) DO NOT use it at long range. If, the samurai will die some energy, but his body-parts will fall over you. Instead, go near him, hit him once and run away from his attack. Repeat this a while, and his parts will fall down. (He don’t loses any energy! Don’t worry, he’s getting hurt, his energy will lower soon) Jump around to avoid him when he appears, and repeat the strategy again. After a while he’ll turn nuts. Then he’s almost dead. Keep going now (even if he’s faster) and he’s dead soon. Hardness: 6/10 ¤#% Fourth boss: 4-3 Called: Falcon man Description: A man in red jacket and blue jeans. Later he’ll turn to an eagle. Advice: This guy is one of the hardest bosses in the game. He kicks and attacks you with the bird. After a few hits, he turns to a falcon. Then he starts flying around, shooting lazer at ya. When he’s flying in the middle, just stands still, he’s waiting to dive down at ya. Then, run around fast the screen from one wing to the other. If doing successfully, he’ll miss ya. Start hitting him. Then, avoid the lazer-beams by running to the wing away from him to the corner, and the lazer won’t hit ya. Then, start running again, to avoid him diving down at ya. Repeat and after some time, he’s dead. (Don’t use the chainmail, it’s worthless. Sometimes when hitting him with it, he won’t be hurt, use the sword. ) Do not use the lighting-bolt attack. He won’t be hurt by it, but you’ll lose half your energy. Just control yourself and he’ll be dead. Hardness: 8/10 ¤#% Fifth and Last boss Level 5-2 Called: Emperor Garuda Description: First a scientist, then he turn himself to a big ninja with green suit. Advice: This boss is definetly the hardest one in the game. The boss is hard, but if you keep trying, you’ll get him. Here you actually need some advice maybe. Ok, first of all, you need to be quick in the fingers and the mind, and you must ”time” when the boss do his movements. All of this must fit perfectly to kill him. But after some tries, you’ll probably get him. Just be very sure to clear the game, and try and try and you’ll get him to last(yeah, I know it is very irritating to die and try, die and try, and repeat this many times, but’s the only way.) Ok, here’s some advices: When you’re heading upwards toward Garuda at the level(you know the floor highers up) you will get to the stairs leading up. Here, you can take one item from the box. Here’s a cool thing: You think you only have time to take one of them, but in fact, you can take both!!! But that’s very very hard and very risky!!! If you succeed, you’ve got Garuda almost killed already, cuz with full power of the sword, and full energy, he got no chance(if you don’t screw up) but as I said; to get the two items is HARD!!!! You gotta be very fast and have a bit luck. But you can try it, but it is dangerous. My advice is to you to take the Full-powered sword(the pergament) if you don’t already have full-powered sword(then you take the energy.) With the full-powered sword, you can reach Garuda with it for a long range, and this will be very handy(ecspecially when he’s turning red). If you’re careful and don’t do too many mistakes, the full-powered sword should be enough. But still, he’s hard. If you choose the other alternative; the energy, you will have full energy but no long sword, and then it will be very difficult to hit Garuda. And I think it is much easier with a long sword, than the energy at top. (If you have both, you’re in a golden position). So I suggest you choose left and take the pergament(longest range sword). Here’s the tactic if taking the Full-powered sword: (Remember that this guy is hard. But then the reward is much better.) Garuda will turn from the scientist to a big green ninja. He jumps up, and while he’s coming down, blast him once with your sword: Then watch out, cause he’s gonna run toward you fastly and try to hit you with his dagger. Avoid the strike. Then he starts to jump to left side, shooting energy-fields at you. Run away from them, and wait. Now he throws a small wave toward you. Duck and wait. He’ll jump over to right side. Now the energy-fields should be gone and he’s running toward you again with the dagger. Evade the strike, then finally blast him all that you can!!!!!! After a small time, he jumps to left and throws out energy-fields again. Avoid them, duck from his wave, watch him jump over to right side, watch out for the dagger, give him swings and repeat everything again, many times. He’s not losing any energy!! Well, actually he is. It’s just that it doesn’t show on the meter. You have to hit him many many times before the energy goes down. Hitting him many times later, he’ll turn red. Now’s the hard part. Problably you worked his energy down to low, so now there is no tactic. He’s doing everything exactly the same, but much quicker. There are no tactic, just try to avoid as many of his attacks as possible, and when he jumps over to next side (right) shoot as much as you can. Then try to avoid the dagger. You’ll probably lose more energy than him, but he has so little so it’s soon gone. Pray to the gods and do your best to hit him. Hopefully, he’ll die. Hardness: 10/10 (Hardest boss in the game.) Here’s the tactic if just taking the energy: Now, you will have the odds against you. It’s much harder to hit him now, than with the long-sword. Now, avoid his dagger-attack, strike him as much as you can, go right to avoid the energy-bolts when he jumps up. Duck under his wave-attack, and wait for him to get over to the right side. Evade the dagger-attack, and hit him as much as you can. Repeat this stuff many many times until he turns red.(Yeah, he turns red after a long while, even if the energy don’t lowers.) Then you will meet the problems. Garuda moves much faster, and this time it is much harder to hit him. (Ecspecially without the long-ranged sword). Try to avoid as much as attacks you can(it’s quite difficult) and when he enters right side with his dagger-attack, fastly attack him. But this strategy is much much harder than that one with the full-powered sword. The strategies are almost the same; but without the long-sword you must wait for the guy coming down at right side. Then is your only chance to hit him(a short chance) but with the long-ranged sword you can hit him at any side. I suggest you choose tactic Full-powered sword if ya wanna kill him. ¤#% ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ G: Walkthru! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, here’s the walkthrough to the whole game. All stuff you may need to know to get through this game (from beginning til end) is written here. The boss-stuff are in two places if you want. The first are at section”Bozz-strategies” but to be nice I copied that where the boss comes, making you more lazy. The walkthru is quite detailed, but at some things I didn’t bother to say (likewhen finding a box, killing just ordinary enemies and more). Well, enjoy the walkthrough!!! Choose your hero in the game. Hayate(male ninja with blue coulored dress) or Kaede (female ninja with red dress. Both have the same skills.) If you play two guys, the first player is Hayate and the second Kaede. Stage 1- Level 1-1-------The ship You find yourself out on a ship, rain pouring. Go right a long long way, thru all enemies and stuff. (Hear the wonderful music!) Continue to the right. Kill the commander and get to the next stage. (Music is great!) Stage 1-Level 1-2-------The sea You find yourself at the harbor, just outside. Rain still pours down. Go right far far. (That means over all boxes and stuff). Do not take the morning star(just an advice) and start climbing up. Look out for the missiles the green/white machines are dropping out. Take the sword(you’ll get level 2 at the sword-range). Climb up and go right. Go into next level. Stage 1-Level 1-3 .-------The Harbor Now, you’re in the harbor. Many gaps awaits. Go right. Jump from the platform over to next, where you find the sword.(Now, you got full power, if you didn’t die). Go on to the right. Make sure to see two platforms, then jump up from the first one two next. Take the energy-box and enter the boss. Stage 1 -Level 1-4--------The mechanic bird First boss in the game. Here’some tactics: Advices: Avoid his stars and wait for him to come down to the ground. (You can use the lighting bolt attack if you want, but then he just dies 1/2.) Stage 2 -Level 2-1--------The sewers Go right a long while. (Fantastic music!) You’ll meet a big snake. Jump from side to side and hit him, until he gets. Go right and up. Kill the droids and go up. Head right. Wait for the boomerang to return before you go down. Kill the droid, and then kill the boomerang-guy sitting. Go up and kill next. Head right. Wait for the boomerang to come, then go down again. Kill droid, kill boomerang guy number 3 sitting(then he can’t hit ya.) Go right, on the upper deck. (Make sure to go at the upper deck, cuz Blue Shadow is a game where you can’t go back, and if ya go down, ya can’t take the energy.) Here, you’ll face a few robots. No problem, they are easy. Take the energy-drink. Go right. Kill the boomerang guy (or do as I always do, jump over him, then you get outta troubles.) Now, next level will appear. Stage 2 -Level 2-2--------The Elevator place Go right, thru all enemies. Take the elevator up. Kill the commanders (if you need energy) and continue right. Here, next level will come. (An easy boss.) Stage 2 -Level 2-3---------The panzar Advices: Start striking the gun at the bottom of the machine. Stage 3- Level 3-1---------New York City Yeah, nice view over N.Y. Go right. Be careful with the gaps. Climb the ladders, and go up. Head right. Kill the boomerang-guy(or jump over) and continue to the right. Climb the ladder. Go right, thru the boomerang-guy. Kill the guards, and climb up. Jump to the place when they will stand up, and then sit down while striking. Go down the rears, and here is a hidden energy-bottle. Make sure to take it. It’s at the right corner, in the black. The boss: The dead Samurai: Duck and strike with your sword. It will come up. Go up and head right. Kill the Samurai-guy!!! Stage 4- Level 4-1---------Outside the factory Head right. (Tha music is incredibly good!!!!!) Head up. Take the sword. Continue up. When up on the roof, go right. Kill the boxers if you have to, then head right. Here, step up on the machines and strike the buttons. Tehy hopefully breakdowns. Go right to next level. Stage 4- Level 4-2---------Inside the factory Hardest level in the game. Go right. Jump up and go right.KILL THE NINJA! (I hate this one! I say to all of you to kill him for vengeance to me!!! Just do me that favor!) Go right and down. You’re choice taking or not taking the shurikens. Go down and left. Go down and right. Go down and left. KILL THE NINJA! Go right(here a hand points right). Jump up at the blue ceiling and turn up. Open the boxes and choose weopon(the sword!) Go right and KILL THE NINJA!!! Go up then with the lift. Go right. Go right and thru all elevator-things. KILL THE NINJA!!!!! Go up by climbing the lifts. Kill the big robot by pressing down and not press at all at the control pad, so you swarm around him. The reward is an energy-bottle. (Could be handy now!) Go up and right. KILL THE NINJA!!! Go right up with the elevator. Go right to next level(the boss Falcon Man!) Stage 4- Level 4-3--------The Falcon Man Advice: This guy is one of the hardest bosses in the game. Stage 5- Level 5-1--------Outside Garuda’s place Last stage! But there are a few more long levels. Burning skyscrapers in the background. DAMN GOOD GOOD GOOD GOOD MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go right. Run away from the annoying robots, and go right. Evade the lazers and go up. Continue up and then go right. Go right and thru the bombs and enemies(the shurikens are good here) Go on to the right. Watch out here, cuz it will be a bit crize situation here maybe!! Go on to the right and go down fastly so you won’t be hit by the lazer. Go right and kill the robot that shoots his head and arm. Kill the next robot and proceed. Be careful around here, cuz I guess you don’t have too much energy left. Kill all the droids around and take the energy. Nice to get one huh? Go right and into next level. Stage5- Level 5-2--------Inside Garuda’s place Last stage!!! Oh man! I can almost feel Garuda’s breath now! Le’s go! Go right, away from all spear-throwers. The floor will go up. You gotta get up quickly, or else you’re history! Go up and get one/two if possible items (I prefer both, but I usually take the long-range sword. Now, get ready for the final battle, one on one, eye to eye, just honorful ninja-fight. Just the best will survive. Take a long breath, gather your skills, find a good position to play in, and climb the last ladder....... And up there, you’re worst enemy stands. Now, it’s up to you if world will be free or not...... Good luck, you’ll need it!! How to beat Garuda(Same text as in Bozz-strategies): This boss is definetly the hardest one in the game. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% H: End sequences %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% This is what happens after beating Garuda, what the characters says, who did the game, special thanks and more. First, when hitting Garuda and his last energy is out, His head falls off. The dragon-statues in the background starts to explode and after a while, everything is black. Then a few pictures will come up. Text says: ”At the end of the life and death struggle, Garuda was overthrown”. ”Two ninjas vanish into darkness to prepare for the next battle.” (Guys that did this wonderful game. I had to clear the whole game two times to write their names down. But that’s cool.) Producer is Taito, but Natsume was the one giving it out. It’s all about the evil emperor Garuda that rules the biggest city in America, and you are the ninja that will stop him. A very good and nice game overall. I love all the music in the game, grafic is quite ok to be at Nes, character move nice and smoothly, no bugs, just a perfect game sitting down and play. This faq was made by me, Per Granbom, Sunshine. If you have anything to say, gimme a mail at lufia3@hotmail.com and I’ll get back to you. There are 5 stages, each with 3-4 levels and one boss. Last boss(Garuda) could be a problem. But overall, the game is easy. But very good. Must say this are the best to Nes. Here’s my review to the game(could also be find at www.gamefaqs.com) Check it out: Game is made 1992 by Taito and produced by Natsume. As you can see, the game is very old, 7 years but still it is great. This is a ninja-game that holds a long time. Why?! Well, read on: Grafic: Grafic is not so good as it can be, but to nes it is quite ok. Motion and speed is perfect. The animation moves on perfect and that’s the most important thing in this game. If you’re not a grafic freak, you’ll love this game. Score grafic:8/10 Music: The music is perfect! I love the music when you run through the rain, feeling the force with you. At the six stages it is perfect and fast music, fitting to the control. You’ll also love it, it is best, makes this game great. Score music:11/10 Control: Best ever done! You have totally control over the character and can move in all directions needed. In many games(like actraiser) you move slowly, but here you move fast and without problems. You need to play the game to understand. Score control: 10/10 Challenge: Not good, very easy to clear, but it is a so good game throughout so I have cleared the game thousands of times, without getting bored. Score Challenge: 6/10 Playing the game again: You can play this game how many times you want. I have never got bored, because this game has perfect control, music and feeling. You can play it again, and again. Score Playing the game again: 9.4/10 Overall score: 11/10 Overall: This game is perfect for a game, and will always stay in my mind. It is not complicated, you just have to sit down in your chair, relax, feel the power, and start playing. There is no complicated story, no problems with animations, problems in the game, you just have to sit down and relax and clear the game and hear the music. Overall score: 11/10 BEST NES GAME EVER DONE! (Trust me, this game beats FF3 with a lot!Best game to have just play, not do anything else.) And that’s all folks! Be good now!
