   BOY, WAS THIS SUCKER TOUGH! LIKE 
MOST OF YOU, I HAVE HAD THIS SON OF A
BITCH LYING AROUND ON THE SHELF FOR A
COUPLE OF YEARS AND FINALLY DECIDED TO
SOLVE IT. EVEN WHEN I SOLVED IT, I HAD
TO GET HINTS FROM MICROLAB ON HOW TO 
GET IT DONE IN THE GIVEN NUMBER OF 
MOVES BEFORE THE SHOW WAS CANCELLED!

   HOWEVER, AS THE AUTHOR CLAIMS, EACH
PUZZLE IS QUITE LOGICAL AND THERE ARE
A NUMBER OF CLUES. IN FACT, THERE ARE
MANY SIMILARITIES TO THE ORIGINAL 
ADVENTURE, AND KNOWLEDGE OF THAT GAME
HELPS A GREAT DEAL IN SOLVING THIS
ONE.

   IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR HINTS BEFORE
GIVING UP, HERE ARE A FEW....

  1) WHEN YOU FIRST BEGIN, IT SEEMS 
     THAT THE ONLY WAY INTO THE CAVES
     IS BY ENTERING THE UNDERGROUND 
     CAVERN AND DEPOSITING ALL YOUR
     NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS AND THEN 
     EATING THE SANDWICH AT THE 
     RABBIT HOLE. HOWEVER, ONCE YOU
     GET INTO THE GAME, YOU'LL FIND
     THAT THERE ARE MAGIC WORDS 
     (JUST LIKE IN ADVENTURE) THAT
     WILL ZIP YOU FROM PLACE TO PLACE.
     CLEAN THE DIRTY ROCKS IN ONE ROOM
     TO GET ONE OF THESE WORDS, THEN
     READ THE BOOK IN ANOTHER ROOM FOR
     THE OTHER.

  2) GETTING PAST THE GUARD AT THE 
     PALACE GATE IS A REAL TOUGH ONE...
     THE OLD BEGGAR YOU FIRST MEET AT
     THE CROSSROADS IS YOUR ONLY HOPE.
     REMEMBER THAT BOTH YOU AND THE
     GUARD NEED LIGHT TO SEE, BUT HE
     NEEDS NONE. ALSO, WHEN YOU GIVE HIM
     A TREASURE, NOTICE WHAT HE SAYS TO
     YOU ABOUT "OFF AND ON I WILL HELP
     YOU".

  3) NOW, THERE IS ONLY ONE TREASURE YOU
     CAN GET TWICE (JUST LIKE THE EGGS
     IN ADVENTURE). THIS IS THE DOLL YOU
     WIN IN THE CARNIVAL ROOM. THINK OF
     A GAME TO PLAY WITH THE BOTTLE AND
     BALL AND YOU'LL GET A DOLL. BUT 
     THERE IS "ONLY ONE TO A CUSTOMER",
     SO YOU HAVE TO GET BACK THERE TO
     WIN ANOTHER DOLL AFTER GIVING THE
     FIRST ONE TO THE BEGGAR.

  4) WHAT? YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE CARNIVAL
     ROOM?! YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE 
     TREASURE AT THE > FORK < IN THE
     ROAD (YEP, THESE ARE TOUGHIES).

  5) FINDING THE EMERALD AND GETTING THE
     THE RUBY BACK TO THE THEATRE IS 
     ANOTHER TOUGH NUT TO CRACK. YOU
     NEED TO FULLY MAP THE MIRROR MAZE
     (PET THE CAT IN THE CHAPEL, GET
     THE SPOON AND GO MIRROR TO GET IN)

     THE SIX DIRECTIONS N, S, E, W, U, 
     AND D ARE ALL USED AND IT HAS ABOUT
     17 SEPERATE ROOMS. MAP IT USING THE
     MANY SUPERFLUOUS OBJECTS FOUND IN
     THE GAME. THE EMERALD IS DEEP
     INSIDE THE MAZE. ALSO, IF YOU HAVE
     THE RUBY IN YOUR POSSESION IN ONE
     OF THESE MAZE ROOMS, YOU CAN GO SE
     AND FIND A SECRET WAY TO THE
     SURFACE... THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO
     GET THE RUBY OUT.

  6) TREASURES DROPPED IN THE THEATRE
     WILL BRING MOST OF THE POINTS, BUT
     THREE ACTIONS WILL BE NEEDED TO
     FINISH THE GAME... YOU NEED TO
     CLIMB SOMETHING, READ SOMETHING
     (PAST THE GUARD) AND LEAVE
     SOMETHING IN THE LIBRARY.

OK, HERE COMES THE WALK-THRU. SINCE YOU
 
ARE TRYING TO DO THIS UNDER A CERTAIN 
NUMBER OF TURNS, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU 
SAVE THE GAME ONLY ONCE OR TWICE AT THE
MOST. ALSO, IF YOU FIND IT IS TAKING YOU
ALOT OF TURNS GETTING INTO THE CARNIVAL
ROOM, START OVER (ALOT MEANING MORE THAN
SIX).
