It might be "Tokushu-waza" or even "Tokugi". I'm not sure about it. If I had chosen to put the whole things in the walkthrough, its size would be too big to maintain. I realized it when dragged the bar on the right in order to find where the disc #3 starts. - I can keep focused on the related subject, never forced to go in details when I don't want to. - The walkthrough will be a "walkthrough". Basic, and simple to follow. - If you want the details, a summary of all the important things, these FAQs will come in handy. As a start, the Tokushugi will be nice since it has some real playing mechanics (unlike the Limit Breaks). Well, not really. I know the G.F.s would do better but Steven Bruck had already done a very good FAQ about and I don't want to trouble myself by create another one. I have a live, thank you. BTW, the next project might be the weapons. Wish me luck! _____________________________________________________________________________ --------------------------------- B A S I C --------------------------------- _____________________________________________________________________________ ______________________ What is "Tokushugi"? ______________________ The phrase was formed by three kanji letters: - Æà Toku : special. - ¼ì Shu/ koto : particularly, especially, exceptionally. - µ» Gi/ Waza : skill, art. There is a popular phrase in Japanese games, "Hissatsu Waza" which means "art of deathblow" or in a simpler word: MOVE (refer on martial arts for this subject). Could it be "Tokushu-Waza"? Anyway, it is safe to use the term "special skills" or "special arts". As for me, I prefer the "special arts" ^^. __________________________ When, How can I use it ? __________________________ "In a pinch (tight situation)". It is said so. There are several conditions that meet the description above: - Your character's HP are too low (yellow). - Another party member is in trouble (dead, petrified, and the other horrible status ailments). Usually valids when it is two out of two, leaving your character alone. You can tell that you get the chance to unleash your special arts when a small triangle mark shows next to the "attack" command. BTW, the "jingle" sound is also different. Use this for your advantage (humans have quicker responses to sound stimuli, according to Ergonomics). There is another way to get it out: cast Aura, or use Aura Stone. BTW, you can trick the CPU by keep pushing the [triangle] button rapidly. Don't forget to stop when you hear something different. The lower your HP, the more likely you'll get your special arts available. Notes: From now on, I will call the technique as "Desperation". _____________________ How can I get it? _____________________ Unlike FF VII, that depends on WHO.
