Since there is only 2 Aku Aku boxes, don't hit either one. If you practice enough, you can achieve Platnium in no time. Level 2: Under Pressure Sapphire: 1:46.00 Gold: 1:17.90 Platinum: 1:10.50 DT: 57.83 Somehow, I feel Deep Trouble is a lot easier. You need to dash with the submarine as much as possible. With the spinning things, you can quickly get by if you can swim towards the bottom part and reach the tube before you get shocked. It takes oodles of practice to get Platinum. Level 3: Orient Express Sapphire: 41.00 Gold: 27.80 Platinum: 18.10 DT: 16.96 THIS IS SO HARD! Midnight Run is twelve times easier. You must dash the whole stage and hit every last time box. My time of 17.40 was pure luck. Level 4: Bone Yard Sapphire: 1:45.00 Gold: 1:40.20 Platinum: 1:21.00 DT: 1:15.36 What an interesting stage to complete. Let the dinosaur hit the time boxes on the two racing sections and get invincibility. Level 5: Makin' Waves Sapphire: 1:08.00 Gold: 58.23 Platinum: 53.23 DT: 50.66 This took me so long to complete. I'm still wondering how I got through. Hit every time box except the one really close to the left buoys on the right turn. You should find a way to get this. Level 6: Gee Wiz Sapphire: 1:35.00 Gold: 1:22.73 Platinum: 1:05.90 DT: 58.66 You must get every time box and get the wizards before the second blast to save time. Level 7/27: Hang 'Em High Sapphire: 1:24.00 Gold: 52.63 Platinum: 43.80 DT: 34.36 The Super Combo is very useful to get across the carpet sections and try to get invincibility to speed up the process. My time of 41.03 was also pure luck. Level 8: Hog Ride Sapphire: 45.00 Gold: 41.43 Platinum: 35.03 DT: 33.96 There is a real neat trick to get this Platinum. Hit the first wheelie ramp, and keep the wheelie for the whole stage. You must also hit each wheelie pad and time box. It took a good deal of practice to get a time of 34.30. Level 9: Tomb Time Sapphire: 1:42.00 Gold: 1:10.00 Platinum: 53.90 DT: 50.63 I still haven't managed Platinum on this area. I just recently learned that there are time boxes on the Purple Gem route, but I don't think those are useful. Remember to get invicibility or you'll get nowhere. Level 10: Midnight Run Sapphire: 53.00 Gold: 38.23 Platinum: 18.20 DT: 13.20 This is a little easier to get Platinum on. You don't have to hit every box, but you must get as many as possible, including all -3 boxes. Again, my time of 16.96 was more pure luck. Level 11: Dino Might! Sapphire: 1:34.00 Gold: 1:25.76 Platinum: 1:03.00 DT: 55.00 It's amazing what a Dinosaur can and can't do. Skip the two T-rex babies and use the Running Shoes instead. Let the dinosaur hit the high -3 box on the race area. I forgot if you can get invincibility or not. I lucked out with a 1:02.00 time. Level 12: Deep Trouble Sapphire: 1:47.00 Gold: 1:25.13 Platinum: 1:18.36 DT: 1:00.40 Other than Levels 31 and 32, this was the first stage I got Platinum. Use the same technique as Under Pressure, and you should obliterate it. Level 13: High Time Sapphire: 2:04.00 Gold: 1:04.10 Platinum: 56.96 DT: 45.10 I HATE THIS STAGE SO MUCH I SHOULD DELETE IT FROM THE DISK!!!!! Oh well. Just make sure to get invincibility and try to find timing to have everything right where you want it. Level 14: Road Crash Sapphire: 1:25.00 Gold: 1:20.70 Platinum: 1:17.10 DT: 1:15.53 They all can't be as easy as Hog Ride, now can they? Hold the wheelies as long as possible and hit all 25 boxes (all time boxes) to get this. Level 15: Double Header Sapphire: 1:27.00 Gold: 1:21.16 Platinum: 59.73 DT: 56.00 Practice, practice, and more practice. Jump around the giants and get invincibility for an easy trial. Level 16: Sphynxinator Sapphire: 1:42.00 Gold: 1:22.63 Platinum: 56.70 DT: 50.63 THIS STAGE DROVE ME NUTS! It's not really that hard, though. When you start, go back and shoot the clock with your Bazooka. Spin the two -3 boxes, then run like the wind. You can't get invincibility on this stage, so good luck. Level 17: Bye Bye Blimps Sapphire: 1:09.00 Gold: 58.40 Platinum: 51.50 DT: 38.63 This wasn't too hard. Find the right path and shoot the blimps at the EXACT moment they're in range. Spin to dodge the enemy fire and may the blimp be with you. Level 18: Tell No Tales Sapphire: 1:42.00 Gold: 1:25.66 Platinum: 1:05.23 DT: 1:01.70 This was so hard to get. You need to keep going forward and hit every time box. The only Aku Aku you have time for is the first one, so make it last the whole stage. Level 19/29: Future Frenzy Sapphire: 2:01.00 Gold: 1:34.00 Platinum: 1:19.66 DT: 1:07.47 There is a trick to get this. As soon as the first laser turns on, hit the clock and run. If you time it correctly, all the lasers should be off when you run by. Get invincibility halfway through the stage, and it's easy. Level 20: Tomb Wader Sapphire: 2:44.00 Gold: 1:45.00 Platinum: 1:24.00 DT: 1:11.16 This might look hard, but it's easy. Die, then come back to the start. When the bug is on the right edge of the ledge, start your trial. Use Double Jumps and Super Combos to cut time off. The water should let you perform this stuff easily if timed coorectly. Get invincibility, and make a mad dash toward the end. My time of 1:16.66 may look impossible, but take away the im-, and you'll see what it is. Level 21: Gone Tomorrow Sapphire: 2:05.00 Gold: 1:25.60 Platinum: 1:02.13 DT: 55.46 This was another annoying stage, but there are some tricks to help you. Knock the first giant enemy into the next pod enemy for a little cut in time. Jump around the first laser and make sure to land near the next enemy when it's vulnerable. Make sure to get invincibility. Make sure to get invicibility again on the final sequence for your mad dash towards the exit.
