WELL YOU COULD GET CAPTAIN COMIC2 "THE FIXED VERSION" AND PROABLY DO IT.....AND THEN YOU COULD TELL ALL YOUR FRIENS AND FAMILY THAT YOU BEAT THE WORLDS GREATEST, THE WORLDS MOST AWSOME COMPUTER GAME EVER MADE. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND YOUR PROABLY WHERE I WAS ABOUT A MONTH AGO - TIRED, FRUSTRATED, ON THE EDGE AND ALL DUE TO A CUTE LITTLE GUY NAMED CAPTAIN COMIC. YES, I WAS ON THE EDGE AND ABOUT TO SLASH THE WRIST OF MY TIRED TIRED CRAMPED HAND....BUT NOW I CAN FACE THE REAL WORLD WITH MY HEAD HELD HIGH FOR I, I ALONE, ACCEPTED THIS SECRET MISSION....TOO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF CAPTAIN COMIC.....AND I HAVE SUCCEDED MY FELLOW COMPUTER GAME FREAKS. AND NOW I WANT TO SHARE THE ATTACK PLAN THAT LEAD THIS CAPTAIN COMIC FREAK TO ALL OUT VICTORY. OK GUYS, READY? .....IT WILL NOT BE EASY AT FIRST BUT HANG IN THERE. I DO NOT TALK COMPUTERESE AND I WILL NOT ASSUME THAT YOU HAVE A MBA IN COMPUTER GAMES 101, BUT I WILL ASSUME THAT YOU HAVE PLAYED COMIC AND KEEP LOSEING UP ALL YOUR LIVES BEFORE YOU GET THE FAMED FINAL TREASURE - THE CROWN! FIRST OF ALL....READ ONCE AGAIN THE AUTHORS DIRECTIONS AND SO CALLED TIPS. FORGET ALL THE SHORT CUTS AND BAD HABITS YOU DEVELOPED ALONG THE WAY TO THE CROWN. FOR NOW......FORGET THEIR IS A CROWN....YOUR GOAL IS THE "WAND", AFTER THE WAND....IT'S A PIECE OF CAKE TO THE CROWN, HONEST! AND ANOTHER THING THE AUTHOR DOES NOT TELL YOU, THAT SNEAKY DEVIL! NOT ALL THE CAPTAIN COMIC "MOVES" WORK ALL THE TIME, SUCH AS AN ATTEMPTED LEAP ACROSS A GAP. AT SOME VERY IMPORTANT ATTEMPTED LEAP AREAS, "YOU" ALL OF A SUDDEN "DON'T" MAKE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE. WE'LL IT WORKED ON THE LAST LEAP....WHY NOT HERE YOU ASK YOURSELF OVER AND OVER. WELL, AT A FEW CHOICE LOCATIONS....YOU HAVE TO POSITION COMIC "WITH" ONE FOOT IN SPACE OVER THE EDGE - AND THEN GO FOR THE LEAP, AND ON OCCASION YOU MUST HOLD THE SPACE BAR DOWN "UNTIL" HE REACHES THE OTHER SIDE BEFORE YOU RELEASE THE SPACE BAR.....TADAAA! OK, LETS GO FOR IT, I HOPE I CAN HELP YOU GET THROUGH THIS SICK GAME AND MABEY "YOU" CAN GET SOME SLEEP! LEVEL 1: objects to be found> Blastola Cola, Shield, Key CAPTAIN COMIC APPEARS, GET THE COLA TO YOUR LEFT AND HEAD RIGHT AT A STEADY PACE, DO NOT LINGER FOR THIS CAUSES THE BIRDS TO ATTACK CLOSER. BEFORE YOU HIT THE STONE STEP AREA - YOU ONLY HAVE TO USE YOUR TRIGGER ABOUT TWICE TO ACTUALY ZAP ONE OF THE BASTARDS, THEY DIVE CLOSE BUT IF YOU KEEP A STEDY PACE THEY WONT GET IN YOUR WAY OTHER THAN TWO OF THEM COME IN AT WAIST LEVEL QUICKLY SO KEEP YOUR THUMB LOOSE AND READY. CONTINUE OVER THE STONE STEPS ETC, GET THE "KEY" AND JUMP DOWN AND KEEP GOING TO THE RIGHT UNTIL YOU REACH THE "NEXT" CASTLE DOOR, GO THROUGH IT AND YOU HAVE MADE IT TOO LEVEL 2. LEVEL 2: (THE LAKE) Objects to be found> two cola's, Shield. GRAB THE COLA AND START MOVING TO THE LEFT. THE HOPPING ALIENS TAKE TIME TO GET USED TO BUT REMEMBER THAT YOU CAN RUN UNDERNEATH THEM WHEN THEY'RE IN THE AIR. THIS CAN BE USED TO AVOID THEM WHEN YOUR SHOTS MISS. AS YOU KEEP GOING TO THE LEFT, YOU WILL COLLECT A SHIELD AND EVENTUALLY FIND YOURSELF IN A PLACE WHERE THE WOOD PLANKINGS EXTEND UP TO THE TOP OF THE SCREEN. YOU NEED TO TRAVEL ALONG THE TOP ROW OF THE PLANKINGS....hold the space bar down when jumping across the "top" level. WHEN YOU GET TO THE ROCKET, GRAB THE COLA BEFORE ENTERING. LEVEL 3: (THE MOON) Objects to be found> Cola, shield, Rare Gems. GRAB THE COLA AND TAKE OFF TO THE RIGHT. I SUGGEST YOU JUMP A FEW TIMES TO TEST THE REDUCED GRAVITY "AND" BEWARE OF THE EXTRA LONG GAPS WHEN JUMPING. SOME OF THE SMALLER GAPS CAN BE JUMPED TWO JUMPS AT A TIME WITH THE LOW GRAVITY FORCE. WHEN YOU COME TO AN AWSOME JUMP GAP, REMEMBER TO PLACE COMIC WITH "ONLY" ONE FOOT ON THE EDGE AND JUMP FOR ALL YOUR WORTH AND REMEMBER TO HOLD THE SPACE BAR DOWN UNTIL HE MAKES THE JUMP TO THE OTHER SIDE. THE JUMP APPEARS IMPOSSIBLE BUT YOU CAN DO IT, I MISSED TWICE BEFORE I MADE IT. One habit to get used to about now is shooting at the same time you jump, this comes in handy as you will notice. OK, BE SURE TO COLLECT THE RARE GEMS BEFORE ENTERING THE ACTUAL MOONBASE. LEVEL 4: (THE MOONBASE) (A "real" tough level) Objects to be found: Shield, Corkscrew, Boots. The Shield extends your life, The Corkscrew gives you more staggered firepower, The Boots allow you to jump higher which you will need to exit the moonbase. Beware of the Spinning Globes, at least until you get the Corkscrew, you will be unable to zap the Globes until you get that Corkscrew firepower. Try to avoid the Globes by jumping over them or hideing till one passes by. OK, ready, pay attention for it gets hairy for sure! Use the pause when you get too flustered....but don't give up for victory can be won. YOU JUST ENTERED THE MOONBASE, HEAD RIGHT AND GET THE SHIELD. GO BACK LEFT TO WHERE YOU ENTERED THE MOONBASE. JUMP UP TO THE TOP LEVEL AND BOGGY LEFT, USE YOUR FIRE POWER A LOT IN SHORT BURSTS. You are able to jump over some globes during this run. GO DOWN STEPS, OVER MIDDLE AREA JUMPS, YOU COME TO THREE CORRIDORS, JUMP UP TO THE MIDDLE LEVEL AND CONTINUE LEFT TILL YOU GET A NEW SCREEN. CONTINUE LEFT IN THE MIDDLE LEVEL, SOME SHORT JUMPS, UNTIL YOU SEE THE CORKSCREW. GET IT AND GO RIGHT USING YOUR NEW FIREPOWER. CONTINUE RIGHT, JUMPS, UP STEPS, RIGHT UNTIL YOU GET A NEW SCREEN. GET DOWN TO THE LOWER LEVEL AND GO "LEFT" TO ANOTHER "QUICK" NEW SCREEN. CONTINUE LEFT ON THE LOWER LEVEL TILL YOU SEE A SET OF DOORS, GO THROUGH, GO RIGHT TILL YOU SEE ANOTHER DOOR, GO THROUGH. THIS BRINGS YOU TO THE TOP LEVEL, GO "RIGHT",JUMP DOWN THE STEPS, UP NEW JUMPS, YOU WILL COME TO A JUMP THAT YOU MUST HOLD THE SPACEBAR DOWN TO MAKE IT. YOU WILL END UP IN A MIDDLE CORRIDOR WITH A DOOR RIGHT BELOW YOU ON THE FIRST LEVEL. GET TO THE "TOP" LEVEL, GO RIGHT TILL YOU CANT GO ANY FURTHER, JUMP DOWN THROUGH THE OPENINGS TO THE FIRST LEVEL AND GO "LEFT" TILL YOU GET THE BOOTS AND GO THROUGH THE DOOR A LITTLE FURTHER LEFT OF THE BOOTS. THIS BRINGS YOU OUT RIGHT ABOVE THE DOOR LABELED EARTH. GO "RIGHT", JUMP DOWN TO THE FIRST LEVEL, FACE LEFT AND JUMP UP TO THE MIDDLE LEVEL WHERE THE EARTH DOOR IS, TAKE THE EARTH DOOR AND IT WILL BRING YOU OUT ONTO A WALL. (Whew!) GO LEFT TO THE NEXT DOOR AND TAKE IT. (More Fun!) This enters you into the awsome angry cave area....look out for sure! THE CAVE: Objects to find>The Much Needed Wand and the Bag Of Gold. This is by far the most dangerous area, remember you "can" shoot through walls as you may want to linger and zap a few creatures. The PILLER area is a good place to be cool and put a few notches on your gun. IN FACT, any place you may find without getting zapped is a GOOD place to take a break and to build up the score FOR you get a life back every 50,000 points. (This holds true more so in the Moonbase THAN in this Cave area). Do - not - linger too long in the cave, enough said! YOU HAVE ENTERED THE CAVE: HEAD RIGHT, YOU SEE A SHIELD WITH A NEST OF CREATURES....FORGET THE SHIELD, CONTINUE RIGHT AND GET TO THE TOP LEVEL, IT'S A SHORT JUMP UP TO IT - BUT YOU HAVE TO USE THE "ONE FOOT" STYLE TO MAKE IT. WORK YOUR WAY RIGHT TILL YOU SEE A "WALL DOOR", TAKE IT. YOU COME OUT IN A PIT. JUMP UP AND OUT OF THE PIT AND GO LEFT. KEEP GOING LEFT AND ZAP ALL THE LITTLE BASTARDS YOU CAN TO STAY ALIVE. KEEP GOING LEFT TILL YOU SEE THE WAND. You will incounter some awsome looking jumps...you will have to use all the keys to make it, hold down the spacebar, the left cursor, and the fire key all at once AND remember to release the keys when Comic's feet hit the flat surface, IF NOT, Comic will fall into a pit quickly. OK, AFTER THESE WILD JUMPS, GET THE WAND! ONCE YOU GET THE WAND, KEEP GOING LEFT AND JUMP INTO A BIG PIT. This is where the "WAND" really helps you! It allows you to make jumps you could never make before AND in some cases allows you to go through walls. Do not overuse the wand for it does not stop you from being zapped by the creatures. You will learn quick when to use the wand...which is when you think you have no other moves. YOUR IN THE PIT AND YOU CAN SEE THE BAG OF GOLD ON THE LEDGE, YOU CAN'T JUMP IT TO THE GOLD. POSITION YOURSELF "COMIC" TO THE FAR LEFT OF THE PIT....AND HIT YOUR WAND KEY (Caps Lock). This move "wands" you to the top of the pit right next to the gold. GRAB THE GOLD AND JUMP BACK INTO THE PIT AND TAKE THE ROCK DOOR OUT. YOU COME OUT RIGHT WHERE YOU SAW THE NEST OF CREATURES...JUMP DOWN AND HEAD "LEFT" TO THE CAVE DOOR THAT BROUGHT YOU IN TO THIS AWSOME MESS. YOU COME OUT ON THE WALL, GO RIGHT, BACKTRACKING, TO THE SECOND SET OF DOORS, TAKE IT AND YOU ARE BACK IN THE FOREST AREA. GO LEFT TO THE FIRST SET OF DOORS YOU SEE, ENTER, this is where the lantern is, for you MUST have the lantern to find the Crown. ONCE INSIDE THE LANTERN AREA, GO LEFT TO THE "SECOND" TUBE, STAND ON THE TUBE WITH ONE FOOT OVER THE LEFT EDGE. You can see the Lantern up high which is an impossible jump. HIT THE WAND KEY WHICH PLACES YOU RIGHT NEXT TO THE LANTERN, GRAB IT AND JUMP BACK DOWN TO THE AREA WHERE YOU WERE, HEAD RIGHT BACK TO THE DOOR AND EXIT BACK TO THE FOREST. HEAD BACK LEFT ALLLLLL THE WAY TO THE ORIGINAL DOOR WHERE CAPTAIN COMIC APPEARED TO START THE GAME. ENTER, YOU ARE NOW IN THE CASTLE AND YOU CAN SEE THE CROWN ROOM DIRECTLY ABOVE YOU AS YOU ENTER. HEAD LEFT, WANDING WHEN YOU HAVE TOO. GO AS FAR LEFT AS YOU CAN GO, ENTER THE DOOR. HEAD RIGHT AS FAR AS YOU CAN GO, UP THE STEPS AND HEAD LEFT ON THE TOP LEVEL. Some of the jumps here need the one foot style and hold that space bar down till Comic gets over. CONTINUE LEFT TO THE END, ENTER THE DOOR. BOGGY RIGHT ALL THE WAY TO THE NEXT DOOR AND TaDaaa! YOU COME OUT IN THE CROWN ROOM. The final Castle Room in route to the Crown Room is not easy, zap the creatures quick for they are out to protect the Crown with their lives. Have fun with it and don't take it bad when you have to start over, after all, it's only A GAME!!!!!
