To all of you that haven't played or heard this game before, this is a soccer
management /simulation game so you are take control of a team as a manager, and
your job is to arrange tactics, decide who player to buy or to sell and another
manager activities. So you can taste the feeling of some well-known manager
like Alex Ferguson of Manchester United or Giovanni Trappatoni of Fiorentina.
There are a lot of soccer management
game some of the popular games are EA Sports Premiere Manager '99 and Gremlin's
Premiere Manager Ninety Nine. But still undefeated i think CM3 is the best
among them ! Why, even we can't see the actual game or fixtures like Premiere
Manager '99 has, CM3 has something that can make you forget everything.

One of the new features from CM3 is training menu, it means you can train your
players to increase their ability or even change their original position.
In default, there are General training, Goalkeeper, Shooting, Skills, Tactics, &
Fitness training.

Because I have only play England & Italy League all of the recommended player
are from there.
Some of the recommended players in Championship Manager 3 is :
- Michael Owen (Liverpool) : oh, c'mon ! you know this guy. If you have him on
your squad i guarantee that he is the top scorer on your team. (Don't try to
bring him in Italy, he's is not as good as in England) ****
- David Beckham (Man United) : this 'spiceboy' is really has an accurate
passing, you really need him in your squad. Don't forget to set him as a
freekick & corner kick taker. ****
- Christian Vieri (Lazio) : The Italian Top Scorer in World Cup 98 no doubt is
one of the best striker in the world.
- Ronaldo (Inter Milan) : Eventhough this brillian player isn't in his top
peformance this year, he is still one of the best. *****
- Jaap Stam (Man United) : I think he is the best sweeper in premiere league !
- Gabriel Batistuta (Fiorentina) : King of Goal ! that what he called in Firenze
!
- Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid) : the best wing back in the world especially his
amazing freekick.
- Francesco Totti (AS Roma) : Promising - hot - talented young guns from Italy.

- Lilian Thuram (Parma) : his peformance in World Cup 98 prove his ability as an
excellent defender.
- Luis Enrique (Barcelona) : this multi-position player are very useful for the
teams.
- Sinisa Mihajlovic (Lazio) : very cold-blooded player, his freekick will shut
the goalie's mouth up.
- Roy Keane (Man United) : the Red Devil captain is the most important player in
Man Utd Squad. *****
- Alessandro Del Piero (Juventus) : Great Skill & Shooting make him one of the
best Italian player. *****

The network play option uses TCP/IP. If you are unable to create/join a network
game check that you have TCP/IP protocol installed. To do this:
- Open the control panel. (Start->Settings->Control Panel)
- Click on the network icon.
If TCP/IP is not listed in the window you must add it:
- Click on Add.
- Select Protocol
- Select Microsoft
- Select TCP/IP
- Click on Ok
NOTE: You can only play in a game that is on the same subnet mask, To check
this:
- Open the control panel. (Start->Settings->Control Panel)
- Click on the network icon.
- Click on TCP/IP in the list - If you have more than one network binding there
will be more than one entry, select the one that is connected to your LAN
adapter.
- Click on Properties
Your subnet mask is displayed on the IP Address tab. If this is blank or differs
from the computer you are trying to connect to, see your network administrator.
If you do not have a network administrator, enter 255.255.255.0 in the sub net
field.
Due to the configuration of some networks, the name of the network game may not
appear on the Join Network Game screen. In this case, it is still possible to
join the game by typing the server's IP address into the edit box. The server's
IP address can be found on the Manager Status screen on the server.

13. TIPS & TRICKS

- Don't put player that have condition rating under 89 or 90, this will affect
the team overall peformance.
- Try to check you squad & use the formation that suits it. For example if you
have 2 good wing player, 3 good defender & at least 1 good striker use 3-4-3
formation. Instruct 2 wing to pass to center with a long pass. You'll see this
kind of formation works great on Manchester United.
- Optimalize the Scout search option, you can get some very talented young
players around the world that really useful for the team's future with the good
price of course.
- Sometimes during the games there are an offer to join a tournament or
something, like Intertoto Cup. If you don't have a full schedule / fixtures
it's ok to join it (since the champion will be seeded in UEFA Cup) but if you
manage the great team that have a very full scheduled fixtures like Champion
Cup, FA Cup, European Supercup or else, don't hesitate to reject this offer.
- Use the short pass in the team instruction screen, cause you'll not losing
your ball posession.
- There are a lot of utilities to enchance the peformance of CM3 spreading in
the net. There are Player Editor Program, Money Editor, Set of Training, etc.
Feel free to take advantage from all of it.
- You'll find that it's very hard to win in away games, in my first season of
Italian League (i control Juventus)my home records are 12-4-1, and my away
recors are 5-5-7 that's bad isn't it ? So focus on the defense area use pressing
& man behind ball in the Team Instruction screen if you in away game.
