1.1) Introduction
Hey, folks, and welcome to the Beetle Adventure Racing Guide. Since I
waited forever and a real guide STILL didn't come out, I figured I'd just make
my own.
Beetle Adventure Racing is one of the sweetest games to ever grace the
N64. Besides its seriously cool bugs, each map is HUGE, and there are so many
shortcuts and tricks in each one. Before you read this guide, I urge you to
explore the levels on your own, because that's the joy of the game. I'm only
here for people who want to find out what cool secrets they might have missed,
and what cool things they haven't tried. So IF you've explored the levels on
your own, feel free to read. Otherwise, I suggest you play it yourself before
reading through this guide.

1.3) Cool Things to Try

	1. Whenever you're driving off of a big jump, press the handbrake button
and left just as you drive off. If you did it right, you should do at least a
360, if not more. (Note: This works well on paved surfaces, but not natural
ones, like dirt, grass, or snow.)

	2. When you hit a nitro and run into a wall at an angle, sometimes the
physics engine will glitch, causing you to go flying off into the air away from
the wall. I've ended up in some pretty funky places from this

	3. If you manage to obtain the Police Beetle, you can press the horn
button to sound its siren. The other beetles should all pull over to the side
of the road. This should allow you to pull in front of the competition fairly
quickly. (Need for Speed, anybody?)

	4. In Coventry Cove, in the town, there is a phone booth. If you hit it,
it will smash, and you should hear an operator's voice talking.

	5. After smashing through some glass or a box, pause the game. The
camera will slowly circle your car in the position it's in, and there are shards
of the broken object supsended in midair.

Coventry Cove Walkthrough
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or is it a Drivethrough? Anyway, Coventry Cove is the first level, and a
pretty easy one. There are a few cool tricks, secrets, and shortcuts, though,
and that's why I'm here. So let's go!

2.1) Shortcuts (total: 10)
	1. The first shortcut of the game is a little dirt road leading to a mill
on the right side of the road. There is a small jump, so be sure you hit it
straight on, or else you'll go flying off to one side or another.
	2. Upon first entering the town, there should be an alley to the left,
not too far in. If you cut it sharply, you can smash a corner window, revealing
a 5 box. This alley will jump you across a small harbor, then back to the main
road.
	3. If you miss shortcut 2, you can drive straight, rather than turn with
the road. You'll enter a narrow alley filled with boxes, but you can drive
straight through them all.
	4. After jumping off of the drawbridge and out of town, follow the train
tracks into a tunnel. You can't the tracks long, but a nitro and a jump should
bring you back to the main road.
	5. After a few large, curvy hills, there will be a barn on the right side
of the road. Although it's not really a shortcut, you can smash through the
doors on one side and exit through the other.
	6. Pretty soon after the barn, there is a short tunnel you pass through.
After that, hang a left. You should run up a stone ramp, and land on an island
containing Stonehenge-like rocks. Another ramp will return you to the mainland.
	7. If you miss shortcut 6, you can continue on the main road. You should
see a large boulder on the right side of the road. There is another one shortly
after it. Slip between the boulders to enter a dirt path. This leads up to a
boarded-up (well, not for long ;) mine shaft.
	8. There will soon be a tunnel with pillars on the left side, followed by
a dirt tunnel. In the dirt tunnel, stay to the left. When you come out, hang
left to get on a grass ramp. You'll go through some bushes to find a line of
goodies, a nitro, and a jump.
	9. A few more turns lead you to a short, medieval-looking bridge. A very
obvious dirt ramp lies just after this bridge, to the left. Take that ramp and,
after picking up the oh-so-valuable 10 box, enter a castle. Take a few left
turns and dodge a few stone walls to find yourself on the main road again.
       10. Instead of returning to the road as in shortcut 9, you can go around
a wall in the castle, turning right after passing the wall. You will see a
boarded-up entrance. Break through it, and enjoy one of the coolest jumps in
the game.

2.2) Flower Box Locations (total: 3)
NOTE: You must be in championship mode to get these!
	1. When approaching the barn described in shortcut 5, drive through the
left haystack. You should hear a "Groovy!" This will give you the "Two Player
- Handicap" cheat in the Cheats menu.
	2. After driving through the town and jumping over the drawbridge, there
will be a stone wall to the left. Follow it, and there will be a small gap.
Enter this gap, and look around for a flower box. It's not too hard to find.
This will give you the "Beetle Battle - ? box" cheat.
	3. When on the Stonehenge island (shortcut 6), use your handbrake to
stop. Go to the
left of the left-hand pillars. There you shall find another flower box. This
will give you the "Beetle Battle - Radar" cheat.
