March 17, 2011, 1:28 pm - I started this guide a few days ago and forgot to put
down the days oops. But this guide isn’t officially released yet. At least not
until I can get a handle on the poorly translated english version of the game.
March 21, 2011, 10:48 AM - I finally finished this guide, though I'm missing a
things about the sages, and other characters, but I still finished it overall.

II. LEGALITIES
Angelique was made Keico and licensed by Nintendo in 1994-1996. But this guide
is made by me. this entire guide, or even parts of this guide may not be
reproduced in any way or even hosted on another website without my express
permission.
III. ABOUT ME
There’s not really much to say about me. I like to write. That’s all you’ll need
to know.
IV. ABOUT THE GAME
Angelique is a dating simulation game that came out in 1994-1996. Because of its
unique popularity in Japan back then, it spawned a few other games, a manga, and
an anime, all by the same name. Angelique is about a young girl, named Angelique
and her rival, Rosalie, being chosen to be the next Queen Goddess, but in order
to do that, they must win over 9 guys and make their land flourish. When you get
to the end, Angelique must decide to be the next Queen Goddess and lose her
love, or choose to be with her love. Depending on how big the population of your
city is, and how high the affections of the guys are with you, you’ll get a
chance to become the next Queen Goddess (as Angelique) or let Rosalie take over
that possession, but either way, you’ll win.
V. ABOUT THE GUIDE
Because this game has no guide, I am proud to say that this is the first guide
for this game. Woot! :D but due to my lack of the ability to read Japanese
writing, I am playing a partially translated English version of a rom. Meaning,
yes, I downloaded it. I don’t think Keico or Nintendo will be losing any money
over it, seeing as it is no longer in production. And so, I as am also using the
manga, which is in English, as sort of an overall guide.
VI. GAME PLAY
The buttons aren’t that hard to figure out. This game plays like other games
The a button confirms your selection.
You move around with the D-pad.
Start pauses the game.
B cancels your action.
But there’s a bit more to it than just moving around everywhere. You have to
talk to each of the sages to get to know them and to win them over. Going to the
Fortune teller to see how you’re getting along with the guys is a
good idea too. Saving your game (by examining the table in your room) is a good
idea in case you mess up with any of the guys.
VII. THE STORY
The cosmos or the entire universe is falling apart due to the Queen Goddess
slowly losing her powers. So in order for everything to be restored, she sends
Dia to fetch two girls that are eligible to be the Queen Goddess Candidates.
Whoever wins will be the next Queen Goddess.
VIII. MAIN CHARACTERS
A. BACHELOR SAGES
There are nine sage or guardians for Angelique and Rosalie to win over. These
guys are the ones to choose who will be the next Queen Goddess.

Dislikes: Clavis
Julious is the most serious of all the sages. He is the most obedient of them
all too. He willingly obeys the Queen and her will.
Name: Clavis

Dislikes: Julious
Clavis is the quietest of the bunch. He dislikes the whole choosing of the next
Goddess, and he foresaw the disasters with the Goddess losing her powers. He
apparently was once involved with the last Queen Goddess.

Hates: Zephiel
Randy is the playful guardian of the wind. He doesn’t really mind who becomes
the next queen goddess. Randy is very protective of Marcell.

Lumiale is kind and gentle. He often plays his harp. He has a soft spot for
music.

Oscar is the guardian of thunder, and he is good friends with Julious. He has
only respect for women in the military (or maybe just strong women).

Marcel is a kind hearted guardian and he is the youngest of all the guys too. He
has a pet bird and a profound love for nature. Marcell often hangs out with
Randy.

Friends with: Luva
Dislikes: Randy
Zephiel is the youngest, next to Marcell. He hates having his powers being used
for making weapons. So, as an outlet for his powers, he makes all kinds of
trouble for the others, especially for Marcell and Randy. The only one he has
high respect for is Luva.

Olivie is the only one in touch with his feminine side. He is always wearing
make up and going on diets. Some people seem to mistake him for a girl.

Dislikes: Julious
Luva is the quiet book nerd of the bunch. He is always reading books and he is
also Zephiel’s mentor. Luva can often be found at the lake.
B. MAIN CHARACTERS:
The Queen Goddes - The Queen Goddess is the ruler of the cosmoes. It’s up to her
to keep the balance in everything.
Dia - Dia is the Queen’s assistant. She will give you advice on how to play the
game, and stuff.
Rosalia - Rosalia is a high school beauty queen noble. She thinks highly of
herself and always brags about how she is nobility while Angelique is not. But
of course, you gotta admire her confidence and charisma though.
Angelique - this is you. Angelique is a kind girl from Earth. She is the other
Goddess Queen Candidate. You mainly play as her throughout the entire game.
C. OTHER CHARACTERS
The fortune teller - this fish woman is the fortune teller. She can tell you how
much the guys like you and Rosalie, and you can even have her charm them a bit.
The fish guy - sorry about not being to remember his name, but he is sort of the
weather guy. He allows you to view the land and stuff.
IX. LOCATIONS
The Palace - the palace is home to Dian and the Gaurdians, and of course the
Queen Goddess too.
The Fortune teller tent - this is the home to the Fortune Teller. It is the red
tent to the right of the palace.
The Park - this is where most of the citizens reside. The park also makes for a
great dating place too.
The Mansion - This is where you and Rosalia live. But of course you can’t go
into Rosalia’s room.
The Weather Place - You go here to see the fish guy so that you can view your
land.
X. WALKTHROUGH
There is no actual playthrough on this game because it’s all random. You can
play this game a million times the same way you did and you’d still get
different results (IE: getting closer to a different sage).
Anyways, when you first start the game, you are asked to name yourself. If you
can read Japanese Kanji/Hirogana, good luck. I just keep the default name for
Angelique. And you’ll also be prompted to choose your sign and your blood type.
Dia will then give you a tour of the entire map.
After the whole day is done, save your game and advance to the next day. You
should concentrate on getting to know the guys a little bit first by talking
about yourself and than talking about the other sages, and when you get them to
warm up to you a bit, you can have them hinder Rosalia’s growth or power up your
land. It’s best to ask the guys that you have the most influence over.
Dating: when on a date, you’ll usually get a house call from one of the guys.
You’ll get three options: staying in your room, going to the lake, or going to
the park. Staying in your room, enables you to sit at the table and ask your guy
some questions but going to the park will enable them to ask you questions. When
your date asks you who you like more, choose the name of the person they are
closet to (IE: Marcell likes Randy and Zephiel likes Luva). And you should
always agree with them. But Olivie can be a bit tricky though.
Going to the lake isn’t that great of an idea but Luva seems to like it.
Sometime should pass while you repeat the process of dating all the guys and
trying to be Rosalia at becoming the next Goddess, and you’ll witness an event
where you actually have to be the one to ask a guy out. If you go to the lake,
you’ll see the fish couple out on a date and they’ll prompt you to ask one of
the guys out. When this happens, go the mansion and ask the guy, who is mostly
influenced by Rosalia, out on a date. You can go to one of the three prospective
places I mentioned in the above paragraph. Doing this will make the guy you
choose like you a lot more.
After the event, the days will be as normal, where you visit the guys or they
visit you, but some more time will pass and another event will happen. Go back
to the lake and you’ll see the fish couple are completely in love. So now you
must ask one of the sages on another date. This time you should ask the one who
likes you the most.
The rest of the time will be as normal until you finally reach the end of the
game. When you reach the end of the game, everyone will be gathered before the
Queen Goddess and Dia. All the sages will speak the name of the one they think
should be the next Queen Goddess, and if you win the most votes, you’ll be asked
to choose between love and duty. You’ll get a happy ending if you choose to stay
with your love, but a sort of sad-but-still good ending if you choose to be the
next Queen. If Rosalia wins, then Rosalia will become the next queen and you’ll
be given the option of staying with your love or returning home. Of course,
staying with your love would be the better choice.
Well, congratulations, you just played a tedious but very rewarding game called
Angelique. But as to whether you beat it or not depends on the choices you made.
