All Rights Reserved. This FAQ is designed to explain how to open up the various "extras" in F-ZERO for Game Boy Advance. It is not a strategy guide, nor is it a translation guide. Very simple. I also threw in Machine Specs just for the heck of it, as well as the Ranking Password Code for use with future Ranking tournaments that may arise. Enjoy! NOTE: This FAQ is based on the JAPANESE version of F-ZERO: Maximum Velocity. Any changes that were made for the overseas versions of the game (U.S., Europe, etc.) are beyond my control. Sorry! UNLOCK HIDDEN MACHINE "JET VERMILION" There are three ways to open up Jet Vermilion: 1. Clear all four series (Pawn, Knight, Bishop, Queen) with EACH of the previous nine Machines on Master Class. 2. Complete the Championship Circuit 255 times without quitting mid-race (do not choose "GIVE UP" - you must finish). 3. There is a code on Nintendo's Japanese home page to unlock Jet Vermilion, but the code differs depending on your Entry Name. Here's how to get your own code (you must be able to view Japanese characters on your web browser in order to do this): Step 1: Go to http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n08/afzj/vermil/index.html Step 2: Down at the bottom, you will see a keypad, followed by three buttons underneath it (the three buttons are "Backspace," "Reset" and "Confirm"). Type your Entry Name into the blank space (i.e. "JOHN" for me), or use the supplied keypad. When finished, hit the "Confirm" button. You will be taken to a new page with a password at the top. Write down the password. Step 3: Turn on F-ZERO for Game Boy Advance and head to the "Grand Prix" mode (the topmost mode). At the Machine Select screen, press: L, R, START, R, L, SELECT A password screen will appear. Input the password you received from the web site, and choose "OK." If you did everything properly, you will now have Jet Vermilion at your disposal. Congrats! (Cheater!) * - Remember, your password will only work with YOUR Entry Name! ===================================================================== 10. RANKING PASSWORD In F-ZERO for Game Boy Advance, you can obtain a password for your best times on any Circuit. Simply go to "Ranking" at the main menu, choose a Series, choose your game (i.e. "JOHN" for me), choose a Course, and then at the Course Ranking screen, do the following: Hold "L" and press Up, Right, Right, B, Left, B, Right, A. The Course name at the top will change into a password. This can be used for special promotional tournaments, such as the "Nintendo Official Championship Tournament" which took place at Nintendo's Japanese home page from April 21 to May 31. ===================================================================== 11.
