Intro
========
The game starts out with a short intro in which your father's bakery is blown
up. You then play as your father long enough to beat up a few guys. To fight,
hold LT to target your enemy and then move RS to attack. After beating up the
guys, you will then go to a cutscene in which the attacking mobsters gun you
down. You then see you as a kid and Don Corleone tells you to save your anger,
that you will get revenge when the time comes. After this, you are given the
chance to customize your appearance.

When Luca finds you, you are getting beat up by some guys. He will then use
those guys to teach you how to fight. Just follow Luca's on-screen instructions
until the thugs' life meter appears, then keep pounding them till they're dead.
After beating them up, look for a wooden crate nearby. Attack it repeatedly to
break it. Inside will be a $1000 moneybag. For some reason, this isn't
considered a "hidden bonus moneybag" but hey, it's still money.
Next, walk alongside Luca until he stops, then press Y to talk to him. He will
tell you about your map. You then get your first objective which is to find a
certain Corleone safehouse. The safehouse is represented by a little green
house on your map. Wait for Luca to open the gate, then walk out of it.
Remember those thugs you just beat up? Well their friends want revenge. You
will have to deal with them before you can do anything else. One of them will
drive up and get out of the car. This is the one you need to take care of.
Don't worry about the second guy, Luca will deal with him.
After taking care of them, the cops will be on you, so steal a car quick and
get to the safehouse. When you enter the safehouse, your next objective is to
get to the save point and save your game. The save point is the bed upstairs.
Go up the stairs and through the first door you see, then walk over to the bed
and press Y to save your game. This will complete the mission.
Your next objective is to go downstairs and answer the phone. Just walk up to
the phone and press Y. The person calling will tell you to meet Luca outside.
Walk to the blue circle in front of the door to start the next mission.

The Enforcer

After the cutscene, go up to Luca and talk to him. He will teach you the art
of extortion. Your objective will then be to extort the butcher. Go into the
butcher shop and talk to Emillio. He will ask why he should pay you. Show him
why. His weak spot is property damage, so if you break some of his stuff,
you'll get a weak spot bonus. You can get his payout up to about $700 before
you've gone too far, but you'll have to inch the meter up slowly at the end to
avoid overdoing it. Try grabbing him (but no attacking) to move the meter
slowly. If the meter stops going up, you can let go and grab him again. After
you think he's learned his lesson, press Y again to complete the extortion.
Your next objective is to take over the racket upstairs. Head to the back and
you will get your lesson on rackets. Then head upstairs and talk to the racket
boss. He will let you buy out the racket for $400 without any convincing.
Then head back downstairs. Go over to the table in front of the dead pigs and
collect the $150 that is sitting there. Then go back into the shop. There will
be a police officer in the doorway that you will need to bribe. Go up to him
and press Y and you will bribe him $100.
You will then get your lesson on "Heat". Then go back to Luca and return the
money that you extorted from the butcher. This will complete the mission.
Go to the Falconite club to meet Paulie Gatto. This will start the next
mission.

Paulie and Marty "Monk" Malone will inform you that some punks beat up the
undertaker's daughter and tell you to do the same to them. Follow Paulie and
Monk and crouch down with B when they tell you to. When you get the college
kids in your sights, run up to them. They'll run from you. Ignore the one in
the blue shirt and chase the one with the red shirt into the graveyard. Before
you do any fighting, run to the opposite corner of the graveyard and you'll
find the hidden bonus moneybag there.
Then come back and beat up the kid in the red shirt. Follow the on-screen
instructions to learn some new fighting moves. You're under orders not to kill,
but don't worry about that, the game won't let you. You actually need to beat
the kid until his health is gone. Once you do that, you will have completed the
mission.
Talk to Monk. He will tell you to meet Luca at Bowery St. Go there to start the
next mission.

Sleeping With the Fishes

Follow Luca till he stops, then talk to him. He will give you a gun and teach
you how to shoot. After you take out the first dummy, it may fall over and
break the stack of boxes next to it. If it does not, step on the boxes to break
them. They will collapse and you will collect the hidden bonus moneybag inside.
Then go to the highlighted wall and follow Luca's shooting instructions on the
next two dummies. Then press LB to go into free-aim mode and shoot the truck.
After your lesson, drive Luca to the Luna Bar in Midtown. His meeting won't go
too well and he'll be offed. Your next objective will be to get revenge on his
assassin. You will have to kill a few of his henchmen first though. Crouch down
behind one of the wooden crates and take out the first one. Then head to the
back of the alley, but hide against the back of the highlighted wall before you
get there and use it for cover to take out the next two men. If you want to get
creative, use free-aim and blow up the burning barrel.
Head up the stairs and open the door, then go in but immediately go back out
(the next enemies won't appear till you go through the door). Use the wall for
cover and take out the next two men. Go through the kitchen and through the
next door. Take cover against the first wall you come to and take out the next
two guys. Go down the hallway toward the new corpses, turn left, go down that
hallway, then take cover against the wall to the right side of the doorway.
Kill the final two guys there.
Then turn back around, go down the hallway past the phone, and through the
double doors on the left to exit the building. At this point, the police will
be all over you, so steal a car and get back to the safehouse as quickly as you
can. Once you do, it will complete the mission.
After this, you will have to wait till 5:30 PM before you can start the next
mission. You can use this time to take over some businesses and rackets. Once
5:30 rolls around, get to a phone to receive a call from Monk. He'll tell you
to meet him at a barbershop. Go to the barbershop to start the next mission.

The Don is Dead

The mission starts with an assassination attempt on Don Corleone. Monk's sister
Frankie gets mixed up in the mess and your first objective is to save her.
Crouch down under the windows in the barbershop and take out three of the
Tattaglia henchmen. Two will already be out there, and the third will drive up
in a black car from the left. Then go outside and to the right and take cover
behind a car. A Tattaglia will have a gun to Frankie's head. Take him out with
a headshot to save her.
Your next objective is to follow the ambulance to the hospital. The path to the
hospital will be blocked at first, so you will actually follow the ambulance in
"circles" before it actually heads to the hospital. If you get too far behind,
you can try taking "shortcuts" to catch up. For example, if the ambulance turns
right, keep going straight - if the ambulance turns left again, you will now be
much closer. The Tattaglias will chase you and blow up your car if you're not
careful, so take them out any way you can - ram their cars into walls, other
cars, etc. to get them off your tail.
They will eventually stop the ambulance on the bridge and you will have to get
out of your car to interrogate the Tattaglia Capo with the puppet symbol over
his head. He will be behind a tan car on the left side of the bridge. Take out
the other three Tattaglias first, then shoot the Capo in the knee to
demobilize him. You will have to pressure him into talking, but be careful not
to kill him while doing so. He will tell you where they are keeping Tom Hagen.
After that, shoot up the tan car the Capo was behind to blow it up and reveal
the hidden bonus moneybag.
You must then get to the ambulance as quickly as you can and drive it to the
hospital before the Don's health runs out. Once you get to the hospital, you
will have completed the mission.
After this, you will again have some time to kill before you get the phone call
to start your next mission. When you do, you are told to meet Clemenza at his
house in Brooklyn. When you get there, it will start the next mission.

Tom is Still Missing

The mission starts in front of the diner where Sollozzo is hiding Tom. Crouch
down and follow Clemenza and Rocco. Don't go ahead of Clemenza or you will be
spotted by the Tattaglia guards. When Clemenza tells you, creep up to the first
guard and strangle him. To strangle, you must first grab hold of your enemy by
pressing LT + RT - then while still holding those down, press and hold LS
(click) + RS (click) until your enemy is dead.
After taking out the first guy, continue to creep forward around the boxes, and
strangle the next two guards. You must kill these guys by strangulation or you
will make too much noise and your cover will be blown. After all three guards
have been strangled, you can then stand up and sprint forward until you get to
the blue marker. After the cutscene, crouch down and go through the hole in the
fence. Then run over to the boxes in front of you and to the left. Break them
to reveal the hidden bonus moneybag.
Then take out a gun and join Clemenza and Rocco to the right. Take cover and
kill the Tattaglias. Continue to progress forward slowly and cautiously, taking
cover and killing the guards when they appear. Make sure to collect all the
ammo from your victims or you may find yourself having to fight firearms with a
bat. When all the guards are dead, take cover behind the wall on the right and
slide your way to the left to peer around the corner. You will see a Tattaglia
with a gun to Tom's head. Take him out with a headshot to save Tom.
After the cutscene, drive Tom and Clemenza to the Corleone Compound and park at
the blue marker. This will complete the mission.
When you get out of your car, you will see a guy with the puppet symbol over
his head. Talk to him, then go to the blue marker where you will find the
entrance to the main building. Go inside and go to the blue circle on your map.
Tom Hagen will be there. Talk to him. Congratulations! You are now an Enforcer
for the Corleone Family. You are rewarded with +5,000 respect and $7,500 bucks.
Turn around and you will see another guy with the puppet symbol. Talk to him
and he will tell you to meet Clemenza at the Falconite. When you exit the
building, you'll find Sal Tessio in the doorway. Now that you're officially
part of the family, he'll have a job for you. Talk to him if you want to get
your first hit contract, otherwise just come back to him later. You'll also
see Sonny Corleone next to a truck. Talk to him for a little advice on being
an Enforcer. Now head on over to the Falconite and talk to Clemenza. He'll
tell you that the Don is still in bad shape and request that you go to the
hospital to keep an eye on things. After you talk to him, you'll see another
guy who wants to talk to you. Talk to him and he'll give you the scoop on
racket trucks. After that, there will be yet another guy who wants to talk to
you! Talk to him and you will get your lesson on the five families and the five
neighborhoods. Your sudden burst of popularity doesn't end there. As you leave
you'll run into another three guys who have something to say. They'll each jus
say something about one of the rival families. Once you exit, the guy outside
will inform you that Sollozzo will probably make another attempt on the Don's
life. What are you doing standing around and talking for? Get to the hospital!
Once you do, it will start the next mission.

Intensive Care

''The hospital is deserted - Tessio's men have been sent away, and only a few
guards remain. Inside, Don Vito lies helpless to the destiny that awaits him..

You've been sent to the hospital for guard duty. Better go inside and check
things out. The first thing you'll need to do is to check in with the security
guard so that he'll unlock the door for you. Unfortunately, he will also take
away all your weapons (you get them back when the mission is over). Next, you
need to find Monk's room. Go up the stairs, turn left, and go down the hall
and through the double doors. Talk to Frankie. As you're talking, you'll hear
a noise. Someone has come to assassinate the Don! He is in the opposite room
that you can see through the glass window. Crouch down and go over to that
door. Open it, wait for him to come through, and then strangle or beat him to
death. Collect his pistol. After the cutscene, your next objective is to clear
the basement of assassins. Go forward a little, turn to the right, and go down
the stairs. Then turn left. There will be a room up ahead to the right and,
beyond that, stairs to the left. Go in the room first and collect the shotgun,
then go down the stairs.
You'll see some more Tattaglias through the locked double doors. Turn left and
go through those double doors. Wait for a second and an enemy will approach
you from the right. This one will be unarmed, so you may want to fight him
hand to hand to conserve ammo. Now go to the right where he just came from
and take cover on the wall next to the double doors. There will be an enemy in
the room, so take out your weapon, open the doors and blast him away.
Then go to the left side of the hallway where there is an indentation in the
wall and take cover there. There will be enemies down the hall, so use your
cover to rub them out. Then go down the hall, turn right, and repeat (take
cover on the left and shoot the enemies down the hall). Then go down that hall
a bit and take cover on the wall to the right, on the right side of the
entranceway. Use that for cover and take care of the next batch of Tattaglia
scum. If you need it, there is a health bottle in the first room to the right.
Now go down the hallway carefully, taking cover wherever you can and taking
out any enemies that appear. Go to the end of the hall, but instead of going
through the double doors in front of you, go into the last room on the left.
Go to the left side of the window and take cover there. Finish off the last of
the assassins in the next room.
Frankie will then run by and go into that room. Go in there and talk to her.
She'll get into the ambulance to go find Tom Hagen for help. After the
cutscene, go back out of the room, then to the left up the stairs. Take cover
on the wall to the right and go to the edge. There will be another two
Tattaglias for you to send to hell. After they are dead, Michael will run into
the hall ahead of you. DON'T TALK TO HIM YET! Go up the stairs to the right of
him, then make a left and a right into the Don's room. The hidden bonus
moneybag will be in his room.
Now you can go back down the stairs and talk to Michael. After the cutscene,
the mission will be complete.
Once you leave the hospital, you will see a Corleone up ahead to the left who
wants to talk to you. He will tell you to meet Clemenza at a tailor shop on
Mulberry. Go to the tailor shop and talk to good ol' Petey. He will tell you
about a New Year's Eve party going on at Rosa's that evening. Then talk to
Jaggy Jovino. He'll tell you about weapon upgrades. Next, talk to Michael.
He'll give you the scoop on doing favors for people. Now, get on over to
Rosa's and get your party on! This will start the next mission.

Fireworks

of her Flower shop. It's New Year's Eve and Frankie's out of town...''

Go into Rosa's shop and talk to her. Then go through the door to the back and
talk to the guy there. He will tell you that Monk was asking to see you. Go up
the stairs and talk to Monk, Paulie, and Sonny. Sonny will be in a separate
room. Then go back into the main room and wait for the cutscene. Then go back
downstairs and bribe the cop to let you out.
Go outside and go to the alley to the left. You'll have to sneak through the
alley and kill each of the cops quietly. Crouch down, sneak up to the first
cop, and strangle him. He'll drop a garrote wire that you can use on the next
two. Take out the wire then sneak forward. Take cover whenever you get the
chance. When you are sure the coast is clear, move on to the next hiding spot.
Do this until you see the next cop. When you get the chance, sneak up behind
him and press and hold LT + RT to strangle him with the garrote wire. You don't
have to be directly behind your victim to use it, you can be a couple steps
away. But you must be behind him for it to work, so if you're spotted, put
away the wire so you can grab and strangle him with your hands. Now there will
be just one cop left, at the end of the alley. Hide behind the last set of
walls before you reach him. Wait there for a bit. He will eventually turn and
walk over to the door to the right. Now sneak up behind him and strangle him.
Take out a firearm and go through the door. Go down the hall and through that
door. There won't be anywhere for you to take cover, so you'll have to come
out firing. There will be two cops right in front of you, and a third across
the room behind the boxes. After giving them early retirement, go up the
stairs. You will see Rosa and Sergaent Galtosino running away. Talk to Rosa,
then go after Galtosino. Go through the door, to the left, and then into the
elevator on the left. Go out onto the roof and shoot Galtosino in the knee to
demobilize for a bit. Then break all the crates to reveal four hidden bonus
moneybags! Make sure you don't miss the one in the crate near the elevator.
Now, go to Galtosino and start getting some revenge on him with your fists.
Weaken him till his health is low, but be careful not to kill him yet. This
will make him easier to grab and drag. Grab onto him and if he is on his knees,
press LS down to stand him on his feet. Now use LS to drag him to the ledge,
and, if necessary, RS to get his back to the ledge. Press LS up to hold him
over the ledge and then press it again to throw him over. After the cutscene,
the mission will be complete.
Go back down the elevator and talk to Rosa. She'll tell you to go back to the
compound and act as if nothing has happened. Do just that and head to the
front door where the blue marker is. Talk to Clemenza and he'll give you some
advice about bribing cops. Go inside and walk into the blue circle. There will
be a cutscene in which you are promoted to Associate. You get a +10,000 respect
bonus and $7,500 dollars. Go back out the front door and talk to the guy in the
black jacket. He will tell you to meet Clemenza at his house in Brooklyn. Next,
talk to Jaggy and he'll tell you about taking down warehouses. Now go to
Clemenza's house. This will start the next mission.

Death to the Traitor

''1946: With Don Vito still recovering, Sonny Corleone has a hunch about who
betrayed the Godfather. He orders Clemenza to get the job done.''

The first order of business is to get some weapons that Clemenza hid on the
second floor of a restaurant. Go into the restuarant, through the door in the
back, and up the stairs. Collect the bomb and other weapons. You'll hear some
Tattaglias threatening the shop owner. Take cover on the wall and shoot down
at them.
When they're dead, go downstairs and talk to the shop owner. He'll tell you
that he has something for you. Follow him back upstairs and he will unlock the
door up there. Go through the door and collect the items in there. Then go back
downstairs and out of the shop and talk to Clemenza. He'll tell you to plant
the bomb on the second floor of the shop you're about to go to. Then follow
him and Paulie to the shop.
Crouch down and enter the shop. There will be two guys behind the bar and a
third to the right of the bar. Kill those guys, then go through the double
doors to the right of the bar. There will be a room on the left. As you
approach the door, a Tattaglia will emerge, so be ready to gun him down. If
you need health, there is a health bottle in the room.
Then go up the stairs, but be cautious because a Tattaglia will try to surprise
you as you go up them. Then turn left and run to the large entranceway. Take
cover to the right of it, and take out the three enemies inside the room. Then
plant the bomb as close to the entranceway as you can.
Once you plant the bomb, run as quickly as you can out of the room and to the
doorway on the left. The door will open and a Tattaglia will emerge. Ignore
him and run as quick as you can into the room. There you will find ten hidden
bonus moneybags! Collect them as fast as you can.
Then run downstairs and out of the building before the bomb goes off. After
the cutscene, follow Paulie into the railyard, but take it slow. He will shoot
boxes of explosives and blow them up as you approach them. Eventually you will
corner him. Just keep low and take him out whenever you have the chance.
After the cutscene, you will need to outrun the police. Ram them off the road
and into objects whenever they approach. As you get near the safehouse, be
sure not to turn left too early. You will need to get to the safehouse from
the rear, so go to the absolute end of the street before turning left. After
you do, you will see a row of blue arrows pointing you left into the alley
behind the safehouse. Turn left there and park the car in the blue area. This
will complete the mission.
Talk to Clemenza and he'll tell you that Paulie's safehouse in now yours. Then
talk to the guy behind him. He'll tell you to lay low for a while and that
they'll call you when they need you. Use this time to extort some businesses,
hijack some racket trucks, or whatever else you want. After a while, you will
get a notice to check the phones. Get to the nearest phone and you will get a
call from Clemenza. He will tell you to acquire a time bomb and then to meet
him at a warehouse in Midtown. First, go to the blue circle on your map to buy
the bomb from the black market merchant that is there. Then meet Clemenza at
the warehouse. This will start the next mission.

Special Delivery

up a drug smuggling operation in Midtown. Clemenza has a plan to strike back.

The first thing you need to do is to hijack a racket truck. Steal a car, then
go to the blue X on your map. It represents the closest racket truck. Taking
over a truck during this mission is a bit more difficult than normal. Keep
ramming the truck with your car, or if you can, get out and fire a weapon at
it. After it takes enough damage, it will finally stop and the driver will get
out. Beat him down until he's ready to listen, then interrogate him to get his
keys. Get in the truck and drive it to Corcoran's Perch. After the cutscene,
drive back to the warehouse and pull into the blue spot. They'll open the
gates for you. Then drive through the gates and into the next blue spot.
After getting out of the truck, go up the stairs of the building on the right.
Don't worry about the enemies on the ground, Clemenza and the crew can take
care of them. When you go up the stairs, turn to the right and break the crate
there to reveal the hidden bonus moneybag. Collect it, then go into the door.
There will be about four Tattaglias below you. Go to the left and take cover
behind the box with the Molotov on it. Take out as many enemies as you can
from there, then head to the other side of the building, shooting down at
anyone remaining.
Go down the stairs, plant the bomb as close as you can to them, then run back
up them and out the door on that side. Cross over to the other building now,
taking out any enemies along the way.
Take cover to the left of the door, open it, and take out the Tattaglia
standing across from you, and one below you. Then go inside and down the
stairs, firing at anyone below.
Then take cover, and take out anyone remaining. Plant the bomb as close to the
stairs as you can, then run back up them and out of the building. You will now
have to get more bombs from the truck. Go down the stairs and to the left side
of the truck to collect the bombs.
Now go to the left side of the last remaining building. Take cover by the door,
open it, and take out anyone inside. Then go through the door and take cover
behind the boxes to the right. Take out the guy in the room across the way.
Then go up the stairs and to the left and take out the guy in that room. If
you need health, there is a health bottle in the room on the other side of the
stairs. Otherwise, plant the bomb, run down the stairs and out of the building.
Now go talk to Clemenza. This will complete the mission.
Go to Corcoran's Perch and talk to Monk. He'll tell you to go see Tom at the
Compound. Go to the Compound and go in the front door. Walk over to Tom. This
will start the next mission.

Fontane. Tom Hagen is sent to deal with Woltz and make him an offer he can't

Time to show Woltz what happens when you mess with the Corleones. Crouch down
and stay behind Rocco. Don't go anywhere till he does first. Eventually you'll
get to the stables. Go to the blue marker and wait for Rocco.
When he tells you to stand guard, head back to the entrance of the stables.
After the cutscene, a guard will come running in. Strangle him before he
alerts the other guards.
Your next objective is to deliver the "package" to Woltz's room. Head out of
the stables and up the stairs. There will be a guard at the top. Sneak up
behind him and strangle him with the garrote wire. Then head to the left, up
the stairs, and through the door into the kitchen. Wait for the butler to
leave, then go through the large entrance to the right of where the butler
went. To the right will be a smaller doorway with a guard just beyond it.
Garrote him then go up the big spiral staircase and garrote the guard at the
top.
Go to the left of the door and wait for the maid to disappear into the next
room. Then go down the hall and wait to the right of the next doorway for the
maid and guard to finish talking and for the maid to go off to the right. Then
creep down the hall and garrote that guard. Then turn to the right and open
the door directly ahead. Don't try to kill the guard there or you will be
spotted by the guards below. Just creep to the left, collect the hidden bonus
moneybag, turn around, and go back out the door.
Now go down the hallway to the blue marker and just wait there for Rocco. When
he gets there, there will be a cutscene and the mission will be complete.
After the mission, you find yourself back in a room in Corcoran's Perch. Go
out the door and talk to Rocco. He'll tell you to meet Tom at Chateau Leive in
Midtown. Then talk to the guy in the black jacket. He'll advise you to purchase
weapon upgrades. Now go to the Chateau Lieve and talk to Tom. He'll inform you
that the family is giving you the apartment there as a token of gratitude. He
also says to meet him at the Compound when you get a chance. Go in the
apartment and talk to Frankie. Then go downstairs and talk to Jaggy. He'll
advise you to take down the Verona Warehouse. Go outside and talk to the guy
there. He'll give you a hint about what the next mission will be. Now head to
the Compound. When you walk up to the front door, the next mission will start.

Talk to Clemenza to get more instructions about your mission. Then get in a
car and drive over to Louis' Restaurant. You have three minutes to get there
which should be plenty of time. When you get there, park your car in the blue
spot. The game will fade out, then fade back in with you out of the car and
facing the alley where you need to go. Hide just to the left of the alley to
get a safe peek at the situation. You'll see a Tattaglia standing guard. Take
out your garrote wire, sneak up behind the guard, and strangle him with it.
Sneak further down the alley and do the same to the next guard. If you're
spotted too early to use the garrote, go to plan B and strangle him with your
hands. That will be the last of the guards, so you can run to the back now
where you will find a worker. Pressure him into unlocking the door for you. Go
into the kitchen, through the doors, and to the right. Go into the bathroom
and to the blue marker.
After the cutscene, you will find yourself in the restaurant surrounded by
Tattaglias. Blow them away as quickly as possible, then go into the door on
the left (when facing the front of the restaurant). Go up the stairs and
collect the five hidden bonus moneybags.
Then come back down, out the front door, and get to the car Michael is in to
the right. Be careful cause there will be tons of Tattaglias outside. You're
probably best off just sprinting to the car as soon as you get outside. Once
you're in the car, you will need to drive Michael to the docks. Like the other
car chases, you'll have to ram your pursuers off the road. Also, make sure you
go north enough before turning left, or you'll find yourself driving to New
Jersey under the road you want to get to. When you get to the docks, park in
the blue spot. This will complete the mission.
Walk over to the guy in black and talk to him. He'll tell you that the Family
is gathering at the Falconite. Go there and talk to Tom Hagen. He'll inform
you that you are becoming a "made man" and being promoted to Soldier. Now walk
into the blue circle and it will begin the cutscene in which you are
officially brought into the Family and promoted to Soldier. You will receive a
+15,000 respect bonus and $25,000 dollars. Now walk over to Don Vito and talk
to him. He'll give you an odd little speech. Now head to the exit. If you're
in the mood for a hit contract, talk to Clemenza. Otherwise, head outside and
across the street and talk to the guy in black. He'll tell you that Frankie is
looking for you. Go to your apartment in Midtown. Walk into the blue circle in
front of the door to the apartment and it will start the next mission.

You and Frankie are just about to christen the new apartment when a bunch of
Tattaglias pull up outside. Frankie runs away to try and escape but with no
luck. Crouch down and head to the cabinets right in front of the door to get
some cover. A thug will run in almost immediately, before you even get to
cover, so be prepared. There will be a second guy right after him. Go out the
door and proceed down the stairs carefully, taking cover before every turn.
There will be two more enemies before you reach the bottom. Turn right and go
through the door ahead. Pressure the Tattaglia in the room to talk. He will
tell you that they are taking Frankie to an old church. Kill him, then go to
the phone in the lobby and call Monk.
Go outside, steal a car, and go pick up Monk. Then drive to the church where
they are keeping Frankie. You will have Tattaglias pursuing you, so do what
you can to shake them. When you get to the church, after parking in the blue
spot, go to the right into the graveyard. In the small stone structure you
will find the three hidden bonus moneybags.
Now go around to the left side of the building and down the stairs into the
basement of the church. Proceed through the basement carefully, taking cover
at every turn and peering around the corner for enemies. Be especially careful
when leaving the larger room with lots of enemies. In the hallway beyond that
room are recessions into the walls on either side. There is an enemy hiding in
the one on the left.
There are two more hiding in the stairwell ahead. After going up the stairs
and watching the cutscene, the mission will be complete.
Be careful when you leave the church. There will still be some Tattaglias
hanging around outside. Hop into the nearest car and hightail it to
Stromboli's in Hell's Kitchen. Walk into the blue circle to the east of the
shop to start the next mission.

The Silent Witness

Go up to the guy in black and talk to him. He will tell you that Sonny is
inside the building waiting for you. Go in the building, through the hallway,
into the large room, and up the stairs. Sonny will be there. Talk to him. Then
go into the room next to him and pressure the Tattaglia there into talking.
Be careful when building the pressure, because the thug's talking point is
very close to his breaking point. He won't actually give you any information
but Sonny has an idea to make him useful anyway. He throws him out of the
second story, figuring that Bruno will attend his funeral. So your next
objective is to drive to the funeral home in Midtown. Drive there and park in
the blue spot. Then, with your back to the funeral home, cross the street and
go to the right. You will get a warning telling you that you are almost
exiting the mission boundaries. Keep going a little further anyway until you
see a nook to your left with a burning barrel in it. Behind the barrel is the
hidden bonus moneybag. You must collect it after parking in the blue spot. It
won't be there before.
Now head back to the funeral home. Facing towards the building, take cover
behind the wall to the left. Then peer around the corner towards the entrance
and pop the two Tattaglias there standing guard.
Then go up the steps to the front door and take cover on either side of it.
Open the door and take out the Tattaglia in the room there. Then crouch down,
go inside, and take out the Tattaglia in the room to the right. Then turn
around, go into the hallway ahead, turn left and take cover next to the door.
Then take out the guy in that room. If you need health, there is a health
bottle in that room as well. No go out of that room and straight ahead, then
to the left to find the garage. Take cover by that entrance and take out the
thug in there.
All the enemies should be dead now which unlocks the elevator. Now head back
in the building and go into the elevator. When you reach the bottom, you will
automatically walk forward and Bruno Tattaglia will knock you down and taunt
you. He will then run into the other half of the room. Take cover behind the
walls and take out his henchmen.
You must throw Bruno into the furnace or you will fail the mission. So pop one
in his kneecap to demobilize him. Then go up to him and beat him with your
fists until his health is low. Then grab him and press LS down to stand him on
his feet. Drag him to one of the furnaces, then press RS up to lean him into
it. Press it again to throw him in. This will complete the mission.
After the mission, you'll have to wait a while again before you can start the
next one. Use this time to do other things like taking over businesses,
rackets, and warehouses. Eventually Sonny will call you and tell you to meet
him at the compound. Head over to the compound. As you approach it, a black
car will come speeding in front of you from the left and cut you off. It's the
Cuneos and they're headed for the compound! Drive to the back of the compound
and take cover behind the walls next to the health bottle. Keep blasting away
at the thugs until there are no more. If you get low on health just grab the
bottle that you cleverly took refuge next to. Now go into the back building
where the blue marker is and talk to Sonny. He'll tell you to go to Lucy's in
Midtown. Now talk to Jaggy. He'll tell you about taking over compounds. Go
outside and talk to the Corleone out there. Now go to Lucy's and walk into the
blue circle in front of the building. This will start the next mission.

After the cutscene, talk to Sonny. Then get in the car and drive to the Cuneo
bar. Park in the blue area in front of the building. Take out your gun, go
through the front door, then take cover behind the wall to the right. Take out

Then turn left and go through the door just to the right of the front door. Go
down the stairs and take out the two guys at the bottom. Then go down the hall
and take cover to the left of the door. Open the door, go into free-aim mode,
and shoot one of the explosive boxes.
Then go into the room, through it, and into the next room. Pressure the Cuneo
in there till he talks. Then go into the next room and up the elevator. Go
forward then to the left and down the hall. Shoot the Cuneo that Sonny is
fighting with, then get in the car. Chase the racket boss and avoid the Cuneos
that chase you.
Follow him to the building in the railyard. Then get out, duck down, and shoot
the two enemies through the window. Go into the building and through the door
on the left. Go forward, to the right, and through that door. Take out the guy
straight ahead first, then turn to the right and use the boxes for cover to
take out the next guy.
Then go up the stairs to the blue marker. After the cutscene, go out of the
room, then into the door on the left. Go down the hall, then turn left, then
go into the elevator on the left. On the roof you will find the ten hidden
bonus moneybags.
Collect them then go back down the elevator and head to back to the front door.
Go out of the building and get in the car with Sonny. Now drive to the docks
and park in the blue spot. Head towards the warehouse and take out the Cuneos
on the way. Stay behind cover and shoot the burning barrels for some extra
firepower. When you get to the door of the warehouse, take cover to the left
of it, open it and shoot all the guys you can from there. Then go in and take
out the rest of the guys. Find the warehouse boss and pressure him into
letting you take it over. After the cutscene, the mission will be complete.
Talk to the guy in black. He'll tell you to meet Sonny back at the compound.
Drive to the compound and walk into the blue circle. This will start the next
mission.

Sonny will suddenly run to his car and speed off. You must follow him quickly.
Don't worry about talking to Tom or the other Corleone there...you need to
jump in a car and chase him immediately. If he gets too far ahead you will
fail the mission. Once you near the tolls, it will start a cutscene and Sonny
will be no more. Your next objective is to follow the assassins. Speed up to
the toll booths then slam on your brakes when you get there. Get out of the
car and go into the toll booth on the right. There you will find the three
hidden bonus moneybags.
Now get back in your car and floor it. Collecting the moneybags and
successfully chasing the assassins is probably the hardest objective of the
whole game, so don't get too frustrated when you must attempt it several times.
It's difficult because you can't let the assassins get too far away, but
collecting the money burns a lot of time, plus you are going to have to
contend with people chasing you and knocking you off the road and slowing you
down. Like always, you must simply do your best to knock them into obstacles
before they do the same to you or blow your car up.
Follow the assassins to their warehouse and park just in front of the entrance.
Your next objective is to find the tollbooth attendant that helped in Sonny's
hit. Take cover behind the small room with the window on either side of the
entrance. Fire into the warehouse and take out all the guys you can from there.
Then progress towards the back, taking cover behind the boxes and taking out
any remaining enemies. On the left side there will be a break in the fence
that you can go through. Take out the two guys behind it, then proceed into
the building ahead.
Go inside and up the stairs. If you need health, go to the left when you reach
the top of the stairs to find a health bottle. Otherwise, turn right to find
another enemy and the toll booth guy. Take out the enemy, then talk to the
toll booth guy. He'll tell you that the assassins went to a club on the west
side. Your next objective is to drive to that club which is the Tunnel Club in
Hell's Kitchen.
Leave the warehouse and steal the first car you can find. You have five
minutes to get to the club which is plenty of time. Just use your map and
you'll do fine. Park in the blue spot in front of the club. Hide behind your
car and take out the Tattaglia guarding the entrance. Then go inside and start
shooting as you find some cover. Take out all the enemies in the front room.
Then take cover next to one of the doors leading into the actual club and take
out the enemies in that room from there.
Then go in the door and go all the way to the right and into that room to
collect the health bottle if you need it. Then go back into the main club room
and head towards the back and the right. You will find an entranceway leading
into a room with stairs. Go down the stairs and through the door at the
bottom. Use the boxes on the left for cover and kill what enemies you can from
there.
Then progress further into the room and use the columns for cover to kill the
rest of the enemies. Once they are all dead, the door you need to go through
will be unlocked and a blue marker will appear above it. Go into that room and
talk to the Tattaglia there. Then talk to his woman to convince him to tell
you what you want to know. Then talk to him again and he'll tell you that it
is Don Barzini that is controlling the Tattaglias.
Your next objective is to return to the Corleone Compound. You will have five
minutes to do so. Leave the room and if you need health, go to the room
straight ahead to collect the health bottle. Now leave the club and drive to
the compound. Head up to the front door and it will start a cutscene. After
the cutscene, the mission will be complete.
After the mission is complete, go to the Corleone Compound and talk to Michael.
He will promote you to Capo. You get a +50,000 respect bonus and $50,000
dollars. Then talk to Michael again. He will tell you that the FBI is doing an
investigation in Little Italy. You are to meet up with Monk near the Bowery
hotel on Pitt St. and find out what the FBI knows and who they are talking to.
When you get there, you'll see a blue circle. Walk into it to begin the next
mission.

After talking to Monk, head forward a little then turn left and you should see
the hidden bonus moneybags hiding behind a wall. Collect them, then turn back
and follow Monk to the hotel. Take cover next to the door, open it, and blast
the guys inside.
Then go in and up the stairs to the first landing. Turn the corner to the next
flight of stairs and take out the Barzini there first so he doesn't surprise
you from behind. Then turn around and take cover between the doors and fire
through the right doorway at the guy behind the counter.
When he's dead, go into the room, then turn right, and take cover to the left
of the door you see there. Open the door and kill the guy inside. If you need
health, there is a health bottle on the counter behind you. Now leave the room
and proceed up the stairs again. Take cover before each turn to check for
enemies. Take cover to the left of the final set of steps so you can fire into
the room ahead from there. Then go up the steps and take cover between the
doors and fire at the enemies inside from both doorways. When you've done all
you can do from there, go inside and take out anyone else remaining. Facing the
doors from inside the room, if you go through the door all the way to the
left, you will find a health bottle and some ammo. Now leave the room and go
up the stairs again to the fourth floor and walk to where the blue marker is.
There will be a cutscene in which Monk kills a Fed and you find out that Monk
has become an informant against the Corleones. Monk's dirty so you'll have to
kill him, friend or no friend.
Talk to Jimmy if you want, then run down all the stairs and out of the hotel
to chase Monk. Steal a car and go to the Va Va Voom Room where he's run off
to. Talk to him. He'll then run off again and some Cuneos will come after you.
Kill them, then run up the stairs ahead. Stop when you get to the top of the
stairs and crouch down. You should be able to kill a few Cuneos from there.
Then go across to the opposite corner of the room and go down the stairs
there. Take a left, then take cover to the left of the first door on the left.
There will be several Cuneos in that room, along with Monk. Take out all the
Cuneos, then kill Monk. Once you do, leave the building and the mission will
be complete.
Talk to the guy in black. He'll tell you that Tom urgently needs you back at
the compound. Go there and talk to Tom. Turns out Sal Tessio turned traitor as
well. You're to meet with Willie Cicci in Brooklyn to get further orders. When
you walk up to him, it will start the next mission.

Then run across the room to the double doors. Crouch down, open the doors,
then immediately turn left as you go out, and kill the guys ahead.
Then turn around and go down the elevator. Go out of the elevator and to the
door. Kill the two Barzinis in the next room and collect the health. Then go
to the next door, crouch down, and go inside. Kill the enemy hiding behind the
table and the counterfeiting machines. Bust the crate in the corner to the
right to collect the hidden bonus moneybag.
Now go through the next door and take cover behind the wall to the right. Kill
the Barzini that's just around the corner. Now go down the hall, turn left,
and go up the stairs. Take cover to the left of the doorway, then kill the
enemy beyond it. Go down the hall and up the small set of steps and kill the
guy in the doorway. Then go into the room and kill the other two Barzinis
there. Tessio will come out of his hiding spot and plead with you. Kill him
and the mission will be complete.
Go outside and talk to the guy in black. He'll tell you that Michael will
probably be calling you soon. It actually takes a while before he calls, so go
ahead and take care of whatever other business you want to take care of. When
you do get the call, Michael will tell you to meet Fredo at the Peak Hotel in
Midtown and to bring dynamite. Purchase some dynamite if you don't already
have some, then go to the Peak Hotel. Go up to the third floor and talk to the
guy in the blue circle. This will start the next mission.

Go out of the room and talk to Michael. Then go down to the second floor. Go
up to the hotel worker in red, then turn left and go into the room ahead.
There you will find the three hidden bonus moneybags. Now go back and pressure
the hotel worker into talking. He will tell you the password to get into the
casino racket downstairs.
Take the stairs all the way to the bottom and talk to the guy there. He will
let you in. Go down the hall into the large room overlooking the main room.
Go down the stairs that are somewhat hidden all the way to the left. Go into
the next room, turn left, and talk to the security guard there. Then turn
around and talk to the other security guard with the symbol over his head.
Then jump over the divider, plant dynamite at the vault, then jump back over
the divider. Take out a few security guards, then go back to the vault and
collect the dough.
Go back to the divider, but before you jump over it, use it for cover to kill
all the security guards you can, including those above on the next floor. Then
leap over and make your way back to the staircase carefully, taking out any
remaining security guards. Go up the stairs, then take cover behind the wall
at the top. Using the cover, kill the security guards in the next room.
Then go into the room, turn right, and go down the hallway to the elevator.
Take the elevator up to the main floor. Run out of the building quickly
because there will be police waiting for you there. Run away from them as
quickly as possible and steal the first car you can find. Then hightail it to
the safehouse marked by the blue X on your map.
Go inside and talk to Michael and Clemenza. They have a patrol car waiting for
you out back. Take the car to the place marked on your map. You have to be
careful when driving it because if you take out any pedestrians or crash into
things, your cover will be blown.
Park the car in the back, then go through the back door. Crouch down and sneak
up behind the security guard and use the garrote wire on him.
Then turn to the left and walk to the corner of the wall carefully. Wait for
the other guard to go up the stairs, then sneak up behind him and do the same
thing. Then go up the stairs and do the same thing to the next guard. Now take
out a gun, crouch down, and go into the room behind you. Moe Green will be
laying on a table getting a massage. Shoot him in the head, then head back
downstairs.
There will be some more security guards at the bottom, so watch out. Kill them,
then go back out the back door. There will be another security guard out there,
so watch out for him too. Get in the police car again and outrun the cops to
Corcoran's Perch. Go in there and talk to Clemenza. This will complete the
mission.
After the mission, you will need to meet Michael at the baptism in Little
Italy. Go to the church where it's being held and walk into the blue circle
out front. This will start the next mission.

Your first objective is to go to the Palladio Willow flower shop in Midtown
and talk to Clemenza. He'll tell you that you are to assassinate Don Stracci.
Drive to the St. Alban's Hotel and park in front. Then go in the hotel and up
the stairs. Make sure you keep your weapons hidden. Talk to the Stracci at the
top of the stairs and he will unlock the door for you. Then go straight and to
the left and talk to the Stracci there. He will unlock that door for you. Go
inside and talk to Don Stracci. Then go into the left elevator and wait for
Don Stracci to get there. He walks very slow, so be patient. When the elevator
reaches the bottom, pull out a gun and kill him. Then help Clemenza kill the
rest of the Straccis there.
After they're all dead, talk to Clemenza. He'll tell you that Willie Cicci is
waiting for you at a barbershop in Hell's Kitchen. Go there and talk to Willie
He will tell you that your next hit is Don Cuneo and to drive to the Savannah
hotel in Midtown.
Do what he says and park in the blue area. Then talk to him again. He'll go
into the hotel. Just sit tight and stay crouched behind the car with your
weapons concealed. You'll see when Don Cuneo comes out because he'll have the
target symbol above his head. When he comes out and stops, draw your weapon
and take him out. If you don't do it right away, it's okay. Just try to take
him out quickly. Shoot the car that him and the rest of the Cuneos are using
for cover and make sure he and the rest of them are killed. When they are,
head into the garage to the left of the front entrance. Find the door that
leads into the hotel, then go inside and help Willie finish off the Cuneos
inside.
Then talk to him again. He will tell you to meet Rocco in Brooklyn. Go out the
front door and steal a car quick. More Cuneos in cars will be after you. Try
to shake them as you head to Brooklyn. Once you reach the bridge, you should
be safe. Go into the Embassy Club and talk to Rocco. He'll tell you that your
next hit is Don Tattaglia and that he's shacked up with a hooker somewhere
nearby, but he's not sure where. Go outside and turn to the right and talk to
the hooker there. She'll tell you to go to the St. Sebastain hotel if you ever
get lonely. This is probably where Don Tattaglia is.
No need to steal another car, you can get there easily on foot. Take cover
next to the front door and kill the Tattaglia in the lobby. Then go up the
stairs and kill the enemy on the first landing. Then go up the next flight of
stairs carefully, as there is another enemy lurking there.
Go up to the third floor and take cover between the two doors. Shoot the guy
behind the couch through the left door. Then run in the room and crouch behind
that same couch. Wait for the Tattaglia to emerge from the door ahead and kill
him. Then kill the enemy in the other half of the room. Take cover next to the
door where Don Tattaglia is. Open it and you'll find him with a gun to a
hooker's head. Take him out with a headshot.
Then talk to Rocco. He'll tell you to meet Al Neri in front of the police
station in Little Italy. This time, you'll have to deal with Tattaglia goons
tailing you. When you get to the police station, talk to Al. Then drive to the
courthouse like he says and park in the blue spot. Keep crouched behind the
car with your weapons concealed.
When Al gives the signal, draw your gun and kill all the Barzinis quick before
they kill you. Don't worry about Don Barzini at this point. Once the rest of
the Barzinis are dead, head to where Don Barzini is. There will be a cutscene
in which you remember Don Barzini killing your father. Now you can take your
revenge. Kill him anyway you like. The police will be all over you at this
point, but before you steal a car, run up the courthouse steps and collect the

Now steal a car quickly. Your objective is not to escape the police by getting
to a safehouse or anything, you must instead last two and a half minutes
without being caught or killed. You can drive around in circles if you like,
but I find the best strategy is to go to the Corleone compound which isn't
very far away. Drive to the back of the compound and crouch behind the stone
walls. The police generally won't follow you into the compound, but if some
do, you'll have allies to help you fight them.
After the two and a half minutes are up, drive back to the Baptism and park in
the blue spot. After the cutscene, the mission will be complete.
After the mission, walk up to one of the guys in black. They'll tell you that
the Family is meeting back at the compound. Go to the compound and walk up to
the front steps. This will start a cutscene in which you are promoted to
Underboss. You will earn a +250,000 respect bonus and $150,000 cash.
Congratulations, you have completed all the main storyline missions! Take over
the four rival family compounds to be promoted to Don. Then take over all
warehouses, hubs, businesses, and rackets to become Don of NYC!
